COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We started with an Oatmeal Porter base and added organic cranberry to liven it up for this Fall season! The cinnamon spice and bitter orange peel notes come through with a much creamier mouth feel than a robust stout. It tastes just like mom’s cookies!

From Growler Redish brown with thin tan head, smell is of orange cranberry and all spice. Taste is spiced cinnamon and cranberry. Thin tasting though with a sharp tinge on tongue. It was a good start but needed a better finish and maybe a stronger beer.

On draft at the brewery, called "Cran Barrel Porter." Pours a reddish-brown with a small off-white head and lacing. Aroma of roasted malt, wood, toast, and a hint of sweeter fruits. Taste is big, of roasted burnt malt, wood, chocolate, and a hint of cranberry tartness. Lingering roasty notes. Nice enough, but needs more cranberry.

(Draught) Pours a dark brown body with a medium beige head and excellent lacing. Aroma of cinnamon, lactose, cranberry, and roasted malt. Flavor of cranberry, oatmeal, and cinnamon toast crunch cereal.

On tap at the brewery. Pours with a deep brown body with a lasting tan head. Aromas of oatmeal, cinnamon, esters, raisins, and cranberry. Very cookie like. Flavors are spicy, grainy, earthy/oaky, light roast. Perhaps a touch too bitter for the concept. Medium bubbles, a bit too thin.

Draft at Odell. Pours a deep brown with a tan head. hint of crimson in the head as well. Nose is fresh baked oatmeal, light berry notes and a suggestion of cocoa. On tasting, more of this, though thin bodied. Should be more robust to really support the light spicing and tartness. Mostly just seems lacking a bit more of that baked oat goodness. Decent.

Tap. Pours dark brown with ruby highlights and a large, creamy light tan head, medium-long retention with excellent lacing. Aroma is sweet cranberry, chocolate and oats, fruity esters with light bubble gum notes and no hops. Flavor is dark bitter roast and chocolate malt, light oats and cranberry with a dry finish. Medium-light body, low warmth, medium carbonation.

Draught. bright cranberry aroma against a roasty coffee background. almost black with an amber hue. surprisingly well-balanced with lots of toasty oatmeal character and a pleasant cranberry component. very cookie-like, but not very sweet. odd but definitely successful. medium body, could benefit from a bit more weight on the palate.

On tap at Odell poured a clear dark reddish brown with a small lingering tan head. Aromas of oats, spice, cocoa and light cranberry. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of cocoa, oats, spice, light roastiness and light cranberry with a smooth lingering spiced finish.
