3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Growler from Odellís. Appearance: dark brown color, clear, small head with a light brown head. Aroma: oak, roast, chocolate, coffee, caramel, citrus, dark fruit. Palate: full body, thin oily texture, average carbonation, slightly bitter finish. Taste: sweet beginning, slightly hoppy finish, well balanced taste. Overall, a little bit watery for me, but other than that very good and very drinkable for a porter and very solid. Well balanced.

it has an odd earthy dryness running through it, and a bit of a strange twang. not infected, not metallic. a bit too much light storage maybe? not undrinkable, but would like to try it fresh again someday.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from The Beerhive. Black body with a medium beige head. Great lacing. Aroma of coffee, milk chocolate and a hint of vanilla. Bitter chocolate, coffee, nuts and a faint metallic tang. Medium body with a creamy texture. Soft carbonation. A hoppy Porter but not as nice as Williams Brothersí Profanity Stout I had yesterday.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle dark brown, with mahogany edges/highlights. Dense tan head. Some toasted malt aroma. Rich smooth light roast flavors and as it warms up a bit, very smooth feel. Softly carbonated and notes of toffee and sweet roasted malts. Nice and easy.

I like this porter. Very strong taste of coffee. Itís initially light, sharp and a little carbonated but it gets a lot smoother with the hops coming through after a few gulps. Keep it coming!

Awesome. Mellow dark burnt coffee presence with a sublime malt/hop balance. Great session beer with proper alcohol amt.

Great example of the style. Dark, rich and roasted aroma, some chocolate in the flavor. More thin body than I expected.
