COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Not quite a stout but definitely no lightweight, Cutthroat Porter is smooth and robust. Inspired by the classic London porters, we use dark roasted malts to create a deep rich color and flavor that hint at chocolate and coffee.

Bottle. The pour was a murky dark brown with a large (2-3 finger) frothy light brown head that to some extent lasted throughout and produced some really nice spotty lacing. The aroma was kind of mild of a roasted dark bread malt and an earthy yeast with notes of chocolate, coffee and just a bit of toffee. The taste was mildly sweet and malty with a slight toffee note in the beginning with a taste progressing into a slight bitter sweet roasty flavor with a noticeable infusion of chocolate and a moderate coffee presence at the end. The flavor lasted only a short while with the chocolate coffee flavor fading fast. Mouthfeel was just about medium in body and smooth and creamy in texture with a nice soft carbonation. Overall a slightly passive tasting Porter, with that being said it is still quite delightful to drink.

Looks akin to cola. Enticing aroma of quality chocolate pudding, carried through to the taste, along with some Robusta coffee notes. Very refreshing - carries its flavour well for the ABV. Incredible.

Pours jet black with a lasting off white head. Aroma has plenty of roasted malt notes, some coffee a little chocolate. Taste has a well balanced hop bitterness against the robust malts, flavoursome yet smooth with a slight creaminess. Good and sessionable too!

Bottle. Colour of an old brown penny with golden highlights and a dense off-white head. Aroma is enticing, rich and malty with dark caramel, milk chocolate, and earthy roast. Hints of prunes in there too. Chocolatey, roasty, nuances of stewed fruits and bread crusts. Smooth, medium bodied. Hearty flavour, drinks bigger than its size. A great porter, well balanced with decent complexity.

Ebony hue with a thin beige cap. Quite subdued aromas with malt, coffee, chocolate and slight dark fruit in balance. Silky mouthfeel with malt, bitter coffee and hints of chocolate. Medium low carbonation. An enjoyable porter. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Probably my favorite Fort Collins brew, especially when it’s on nitro. Pours a deep brown with a light tan head. Very smooth with a medium malty taste.

Very dark brown...ruby light shine through...off white head
Aroma - Roasted malts...milk chocolate...moderate coffee...well blended
Taste - Very dark caramel and chocolate malts....milk chocolate...less coffee than the aroma....some roasted malt.....hint of dark rich toffee......some milk lactose.....much more malt than hops.......well blended...mellow flavours....tasty
Palate - soft carb...smooth...some roast..but emphasis on light sweet milk chocolate...thin to medium body...smooth. Finish as main flavour..smooth sweet milky and light chocolate...some roast.
Great smooth mellow chocolate roast porter...not very complex...but really flavoursome - liked this porter a lot

Bottle at Cloisters. Pours red-black, thin bubbly head. Distinct latte-coffee-thing on the nose, and a little bit of herby-vegetal-ness maybe. The flavours present a roasty, vanilla character, quite bready. Nicely balanced fizz. Good stuff.
