COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Not quite a stout but definitely no lightweight, Cutthroat Porter is smooth and robust. Inspired by the classic London porters, we use dark roasted malts to create a deep rich color and flavor that hint at chocolate and coffee.

Deep brown color with quite large creamy, tan foam. Aromas mainly of malts which branches out to smootch sweet chocolate, light caramel and very subtlie coffee hints. Although do pick up very slight acidic notes. Palate, medium body, thick and smooth texture leaving very smooth but light roast malt/chocolate finish. Taste is very smooth and easy of chocolate and bit of light coffee, not too complex. Overall, quite nice porter, although it is a stile I have not explored much of yet. But this definatly was nice, would like bit more of thickness to it but then it would taste like a stout? Not sure, it is definatly nice and enjoyable but not to heavy going either + awesome label!

12 oz. bottle. Black, with a slight ruby hue, and a big, foamy, tan head that leaves lots of lacing. The nose is reasted malts, bitter chocolate, caramel, pine, and a bit of rosemary. Sweet and malty, with some roasted bitterness and a touch of hoppy bitterness. Medium to heavy body, syrupy, creamy, and a bit sharp. Overall, this is a pretty nice, well-made porter.

Bottle, 355ml. Small tan head and brownish black liquid. Aroma of grapes and dark fruits, coffee, somewhat piquant, but always fruity. The taste is immediately a build-up of dark chocolate, cocoa and some more coffee with toasted notes; an underlying sweetness contributes to its smooth and balanced flavour profile. Caramel and fudge too. Very tasty indeed. Medium or medium to full body, the texture is oily but not too thick, soft carbonation and a deep long finish. Nice porter.

Draft at the brewery, 11/25/15. Dark brown in color with a creamy beige-tan head. Roasted malts dominate the aroma and flavor. Chocolate and coffee. Lightly sweet, mostly roasted flavor. Pretty nice overall mouthfeel. Good amount of flavor packed into a sessionable porter.
