COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Not quite a stout but definitely no lightweight, Cutthroat Porter is smooth and robust. Inspired by the classic London porters, we use dark roasted malts to create a deep rich color and flavor that hint at chocolate and coffee.

Bottle. Dark with a small head. Chocolate and cocoa flavours blend together. Well balanced and not too overpowering. A classy porter.

Bottle @ Olutravintola Kukko, Kemi. Clear very dark brown beer with a beige head. Aroma has strong roasted malts, some dark chocolate and coffee. Flavour is sweet with caramel malts and roastiness with some bitterness as well. Almost full bodied beer with an oily mouthfeel.

pours very dark brown with a nice beige head, some retention and lacing. chcocolate, roasted coffee berries, hint of sweetness and acidity, vanilla and loght woodsy notes, grassy. soft carbonation, light body - some texture, short but present grassy-bitter-coffee finish. very good balance, good drinkability like a porter should be. very enjoyable - would drink few pints of this stuff!

Bottle 12 fl.oz. Pours dark brown in color with a small tan head. Roasted notes at first, some coffee beans and a bit of burnt wood in aroma. Roasted notes with a bit of coffee and mid-bitter chocolate continues in flavor as well. However the finish has a bit of salty licorice in it.

17/02/2013 Brasserie 4:20 (tap).

Dark brown with an off-white head. The aroma is full of chocolate. The flavor is more complex. I get some nice chocolate and roasted malt character, as well as a hint of refreshing mint. Medium mouthfeel and high carbonation.

Faint coffee nose. Taste is more subtle coffee and chocolate. Touch of dark fruit. Tad watery bittersweet finish. Solid

March 2013 - room temp bottle, mid-bodied porter with mild sweet flavour. A little coffee. Not bitter at all. Roasted barley finish is a bit watery. It’s a typical British style porter. Was expecting more.

12oz bottle. Pours a deep black color with small beige head. Dominant coffee aroma. Smooth flavor of roasted coffee and chocolate, almost like a stout. Very enjoyable.
