Not quite a stout but definitely no lightweight, Cutthroat Porter is smooth and robust. Inspired by the classic London porters, we use dark roasted malts to create a deep rich color and flavor that hint at chocolate and coffee.

Bottle, 355ml. Small tan head and brownish black liquid. Aroma of grapes and dark fruits, coffee, somewhat piquant, but always fruity. The taste is immediately a build-up of dark chocolate, cocoa and some more coffee with toasted notes; an underlying sweetness contributes to its smooth and balanced flavour profile. Caramel and fudge too. Very tasty indeed. Medium or medium to full body, the texture is oily but not too thick, soft carbonation and a deep long finish. Nice porter.

12oz bottle. 1/27/16 BB date. Appearance: Dark brown, nearly opaque, with a thick creamy khaki head and nice lacing. Aroma: Roast and toasted malt, bready Taste: Moderate malt sweetness with toasted bread and light roast most prominent. Fairly strong bitterness. Mouthfeel: Light to medium body, light creaminess, and moderate carbonation. Finish: Hop bitterness and roast are strong after the swallow. Overall: Very smooth, easy drinking Porter considering the strong roast and bitterness, which are more prominent on the finish. Not harsh or astringent. Flavor intensity lower than some of it’s counterparts like Deschutes BBP.

Draft at the brewery, 11/25/15. Dark brown in color with a creamy beige-tan head. Roasted malts dominate the aroma and flavor. Chocolate and coffee. Lightly sweet, mostly roasted flavor. Pretty nice overall mouthfeel. Good amount of flavor packed into a sessionable porter.

Bottle at home. I shouldn’t have let my guard down in the first place. Now I’m a mess. Ah yeah, the beer was good.

Black brew with decent tan head that holds on a while. Smells mostly of chocolate malts but the taste is roasted, chocolate, and mild coffee. Was thinking this was more bordering on a stout then I read the side of the bottle. Yep their deScription of this brew is dead on. Not as thick or hardy as I would like to have had on this cold rainy day but the three bottles from the sampler pack was enjoyable.
