COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Not quite a stout but definitely no lightweight, Cutthroat Porter is smooth and robust. Inspired by the classic London porters, we use dark roasted malts to create a deep rich color and flavor that hint at chocolate and coffee.

Originally rated on 2/22/15. A ruby highlighted, brown to black colored body, with a foamy, fluffy, clingy, tan head. Nose of bitter coffee, with cocoa, and hints of roasted nuts. Flavors of bitter roast coffee, chocolate, roasted nuts, and hints of char. Dry, smooth bodied, with a roasted and bittersweet aftertaste. Dry, smooth finish. Extremely easy to drink.

Bottle; pours dark brown with tan head; aroma of chocolate, coffee, and roasted malt with a hint of vanilla; taste is smooth with some light coffee bitterness and chocolate with some roast malt; finish is dry with a little chocolate bitterness; a little bit on the thin side but still a very good porter

12 oz pour from chilled bottle into tulip glass. Black and opaque with a fairly fluffy white head. Nose is roasty. Chocolate and coffee. Medium body. Actually a little thin for my tastes. Taste is mostly dry with a touch of sweetness. Chocolate and caramel with light toffee and even lighter coffee. Fairly light as porters go. Almost a porter session beer.
