COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A Golden Ale created by blending the final recipe with its own barrel aged pilot beers fermented with wild yeasts and lacto. Each individual barrel contributes a unique flavor from the wood chosen and the cultures resident to achieve the subtle complexities that develop(ed) over time. A beer which starts sweet, filling the mouth with fruit-like esters and mild spiciness, changing to a tart and lingering flavor reminiscent of apples and grapefruit living amidst an earthy, citrusy hop aroma. 42% aged in wine barrels 58% Ale

Clear golden with a huge white head and lots of lacing. Aroma was dusty caramel, woody and ripe fruit. Flavors of caramel, sweet malts and tart fruit
OK, but glad I wasn’t drinking this myself.

750 ml bought in Wyoming. Pours a cloudy deep orange color with a large white head. A sweet nose of brett, sugars and fruit. The flavor is certainly at the core a big blonde ale, dusty Brett., apples, caramel, light vinous notes. Decent.

On tap at the Mayor. Orange red appearance with an off white head. Aroma of fruity esters, wood, alcohol, wild yeast and light spices. Similar flavor. Medium body with a smooth feel. Not bad but a little underwhelming.

Thanks, Jeff! Not quite up to the level of the 2011 version. Oily, vigorously carbonated pour with a mead-like color to it. Raucous head and a riot of things happening in the nose, hops slightly occluded by barrel and booze and loads of fruit. Mouthfeel is a bit slick and oily for sure, and the heat is a bit too detectable. Flavors are reasonably more complex than the nose promises, with the hops peeking out a bit and some nice tart notes to make an interesting topography beyond the wood and heat. Brett’s not very present at all, but still comes across as a pretty winning Belgian strong.

Thanks again, Peter. Nose is big tropical fruit, mainly pineapple. Lightly tart farmhouse and lemon zest behind a grassy aroma. Pour is burnt orange with a white head. Flavor is funky, lightly salty, a ton of wheat and grass with some grapefruit and lemon rind. Pretty cool and not what I expected. I didn’t get a whole lot of the wine barrel though. Nice brew.

Bottle Courtesy of Dak. Really enjoyed this much more then others it seams. It has a really funky earthy feel that is reminiscent of a rustic farmhouse ale. Some booze and sweetness but not overly so. I like it!

75cl, as Odell Deconstruction (42% aged in Wine barrels/ 58% Ale), new exclusive American brew, with wild yeasts, from Beers of Europe Setchey, very complex brew, woody/sweet and slightly fruity/vinous, not too heavy, yet not balanced, cloudy, rocky head, good brew, yet expensive!

Bottle thanks to a trade. Pours a clear orangish gold with a large egg shell white head that lasts throughout the beer. Aroma has a pretty strong dry note with a bit of grape, tartness, sweet grain and a hint of citrus. Flavor is similar with grain and light tart fruits up front and quite a dry finish.

Had this at Where The Wild Beers Are. Pours a hazed amber orange with a thin white to yellowed beige head. Soft fuzzy musk and fleshy tropical fruit on the nose. Big dense yeast, toast and malt. Light acid and pepper, musk, soft wheat. Big wheat and caramel into a yeasty finish with warm alcohol and light acid.
