COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A Golden Ale created by blending the final recipe with its own barrel aged pilot beers fermented with wild yeasts and lacto. Each individual barrel contributes a unique flavor from the wood chosen and the cultures resident to achieve the subtle complexities that develop(ed) over time. A beer which starts sweet, filling the mouth with fruit-like esters and mild spiciness, changing to a tart and lingering flavor reminiscent of apples and grapefruit living amidst an earthy, citrusy hop aroma. 42% aged in wine barrels 58% Ale

Has some big lemon sour scents and a nice funk. Pours a nice dark amber with a white head. Taste is much different than the scent, some what earthy and vegetable qualities, not much sour. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Really nice offering from Odell once again. Pours hazy copper / orange with a dense off-white head. The aroma has sour apples, tartness, apricots, mild vanilla/oak, wild yeast bugginess and earthiness. Medium full smooth body with lots of gentle flowing carbonation. The flavor starts with far more influence from the wine barrels with both wine and oak aspects. There is lots of red wine, berries, fruitiness, vanilla and wild yeastiness. The finish is a funk fest for being just released. There is aso dry red wine, toasty malt and different sour aspects. Great beer.

Slightly cloudy golden pour with small off white head. Aroma of yeast, hops, barnyard and hint of citrus. Taste of yeast, slight citrus, brett, malt and slight hops. No real sourness detectected. Things just not working together on this one.

Sampled on 10/1/2012 at Odells Brewery. This wild ale pours a medium orange gold color from the tap. Small sized white foamy head. The aroma is fruity, sweet, orange and tropical, with some wood and some tartness. A medium to full bodied wild ale. The malts are fruity and sweet, with some tropical flavors. The hops are earthy. Mild carbonation. Touch of wood, some funk, and some white wine. Nice balance. Hides the alcohol very well. Nice blend of sweet, fruit, wood and tart. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is sweet.

Poured this bad boy from a bomber. It is a nice dark golden color with a lot of head that goes away slowly. The nose is some fruit some earthy tones. The beer is fairly complex, there is a lot going on that I cannot place but it has some fruit upfront with a little bitter at the end. It is not really tart at all. It is an okay beer for me.

Tap @ Odell. Pours a dark golden appearance with a small off white head. Funky fruity, whiskey, tart wine, citrusy, oaky aroma. Tart, white fruit, red grape, grainy woody, leather, tannic flavor with a bit of booze on the finish. Pretty complex, though a little all over the place. Fun to try.
