Bottle… Tower of Power Sour Hour Deel Twee… Pours murky and pear-colored with a small, fat-bubbled, white head. So-so retention. The fruity, floral, herbal aroma give a nod toward apricot, lavender and freesia. Medium to full-bodied with modest carbonation. The flavor is fruity, herbal and moderately tart. Finishes tart and herbal as well.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Tasted 10/8/10. Hazy with a golden honey hue. Moldy bone white head. Aromas of citrus grapefruit and tart apples with a touch of citrus candy. Medium to full bodied with a bright effervescence and a tingling astringency. Subtle nuances of strawberries. Sweet flavors with a nice mix of sour. Both the Brett and the Barrel aging are apparent but not overwhelming or dominating. There’s also a trace burn from the remnant spirits. Very well blended! Great palate roll from the tart tangy and bitter. Solidly produced!

Pours a dark golden with a dense off white head. Aroma is floral, light funk, pepper, and citrus. Starts sweet with a bit of tartness, then fruity and saison like with a good bit of bitterness toward the finish.

Rather enjoyed this, kind of like a strong ale/saison hybrid. Not particularly funky or tart, which I hoped for from the description, but a nice, lightly sweet and fruity hop flavor with a crisp dry finish and a beautiful lack of bitterness. I liked this one and would be happy to have another bottle, but sadly I do not.

Bottle at Joe’s ridiculous going away party tasting, courtesy of Ryan I think. Slightly funky, nice brett notes, a bit of grain. Nice body, nice wood notes coming through. Tasty.

750mL. Pours is hazy yellow to gold with a lively white head. Aroma is Bretty, fruity, tropical (pineapple), slight phenolic yeast, very little barrel character and more herbal, dry fruits. Taste is Bretty, dry, sweet cherries, white grapes, white grapefruit, sweet melon. Very nice dry, high carbonation palate.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Slightly hazy golden brass with a stringy-lacing white head. Has a lightly sweet pale malty nose with some vinous oak and mild bourbon vanills notes. Starts with good fullness and some fruity tartness with light malty sweetness and a hint of grassy bitterness. Has decent complexity, but a bit too much tartness.

Sweet, very phenolic, lots of esters, peppery, lots of gold fruits, flowers and herbs. Pretty messy.
