COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Double Pilsner is our tribute to the pilsner style, heavily hopped but balanced with malt and refined on our 5-barrel system. Originally brewed in Bohemia, pilsners were the world's first clear golden lagers and the start of a dramatic revolution in brewing. Today, pilsners are still a revered part of Czech and German life and an inspiration to our brewers.

Clean crisp clear-ish with a noble hops taste. Very much to style. Decent white head, light golden color, subtle malt tones and spicy hops influences.

Keg at the Hanging Bat. Pours amber, nose is pineapple, toffee, taste is juicy fruit, sweet and cloying, more so the longer it warms.

12oz bottle pours a golden color with a bit of head. Nice malty flavor but overpowered by the alcohol booziness. Very sweet.

On tap at Cugino’s. It poured a hazy light golden color with a white head. The aroma was of banana, straw, a some hay. The taste was of straw with alcohol and banana in the finish.

Sample @ a tasting event. Golden body with a medium white head. Bready, with notes of dough, fruit & grass.

"Not as hoppy, grassy, or complex as I was expecting, though it was a nice refreshing brew. More sweet malt, with some hay-like hops, but nothing overpowering. A little alcohol on the nose, but not overdone. Overall, a nice pils, but there’s better out there within this cool style. 2013 - had a fresh one on tap. Gotta upgrade. All the flavors and aromas of a good pils, just amped up with a little more hops."

stevoj (2319) - Boise, Idaho, USA - SEP 22, 2014
Decent strong pils, not overly malty as some in this style. Normal pils color and body is slightly viscous, slightly sweet grain aroma. Taste is rather smooth and not too sweet, some honey and corn. Decent, but not the best.

On tap. Slightly hazy golden pour with small white head. Aroma of malts, bread, dough, slightly fruity, caramel and hops. Taste of caramel malts, bread dough, slightly fruity and hoppy boozy finish . Full bodied, soft carbonation, creamy soft mouthfeel, nicely balanced. Just ok.

Draft sample at the brewery. Golden pee pour with a lasting white head. Aroma is hay, sugar, cereal and hints of pine and grass. Taste is a sweet sugar bomb. Some bitter hops, but mostly a sweet, muddled mess. Would be better off listed as a malt liquor.

Pours a brownish golden color with a foamy off white head. Notes of malt, skunky hops, grass and sugar.

Draught keg from tap takeover at the Three Johns on 24 Aug. Not much aroma. Light carbonation gives a smooth mouthfeel. Lemony and light. Clean & well executed but not really a style I can get excited about.
