Double Pilsner is our tribute to the pilsner style, heavily hopped but balanced with malt and refined on our 5-barrel system. Originally brewed in Bohemia, pilsners were the world's first clear golden lagers and the start of a dramatic revolution in brewing. Today, pilsners are still a revered part of Czech and German life and an inspiration to our brewers.

Straw color. Thin light head. Amazingly delicious pilsner. I would never have guessed the alcohol content was so high (8.1%)

On tap, poured a clear yellow hue w/ a small white head. Moderate grain aroma. Initial flavor is a light sweet w/ a medium bitter finish. Tastes are bread and hay. Light bodied, lively carbonation, and creamy mouthfeel. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tap. Clear gold. Small white head. Crisp, sweet. So much better than a regular pilsner. Strong alcohol taste. Refreshing without being plain.

Clean crisp clear-ish with a noble hops taste. Very much to style. Decent white head, light golden color, subtle malt tones and spicy hops influences.

Sampled at the brewery. Great logo. This is a big beer. Spicy hi character, big sweet pilsner malt flavor. Some fruity notes in the finish. Not bad.

1st beer of GABF weekend. Not really my favorite style but I got the big abv taster at the brewery bc I wanted to test the higher elevation theory the first hour I was in Colorado. As one would expect, it was boozy. Nice medium body with some creaminess. Pils hops pop nicely.

On tap at the brewery in Ft. Collins, CO. Golden pour with a short white head. Lemony citrus aroma with Pilsner malts and flowers. Citrus hop flavor at the forefront with an expected pilsner malt finish. Light bitterness lingers on the palate. Good overall.

Not my favorite style but this one is nice. Big boozy beer that has nice yeast and bread notes. Clean finish and easy drinking

Heavy gravity pilsner that retains its lager refreshment. Pours corn color, magnificently balanced palate that hides the 8.1 ABV very well! Not too hoppy, not too malty, a true original!

This beer is not too bad for a lager. I’m not a fan of that twang, but it is very restrained and there are other interesting things going on with this. The gravity lends an appealing roundness and the hops while subtle add a touch of chalk to the mouthfeel.
