COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Dougweiser is a light American style lager brewed with 50 lbs of John Copes dried toasted sweet corn from Pennsylvania. We know that Budweiser is brewed with barley and rice, not barley and corn, but somehow the name got attached to this beer and it stuck!

UPDATED: JAN 25, 2011 Tap at the brewery. Dougweiser is now known as Maize Azul. Pours a slightly hazy pale yellow appearance with a creamy white head. Bland pale malty nose with some bitterness mixed in. Very grainy pale malty flavor. Pretty bland and not vey exciting.

Tap at the brewery. Pours golden yellow with a small head, decent lacing. Aromas of sweet malt and corn. Flavors are also sweet malt, grain, and corn, with an ever so slight hop bitterness at the end. Light and crisp palate.

On tap at the brewery. Was a light golden orange color with a white head. Smelled of grain, corn and malt sweetness. Tasted similar to smell with some nice hop bitterness. Was very smooth drinking.

Tap at the brewery. Poured a clear, pale golden color with a thin white head that left good lacing. Aroma of toasted grain and cereal, light honey, sweet corn, and a soft hoppiness. Smooth, lightly bitter entry with some floral hoppiness and a bit of toasted grain and corn that leads into a soft hint of honey and a light earthiness. Moderate carbonation, and decent mouthfeel for the still, but still a bit watery overall. Better than regular American macro lagers, but still nothing to get hyped up over.
