COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This is our classic 90 Shilling with a captain’s uniform! We aged our 90 Shilling in a Woodcut No. 4 barrel for six months. This slightly tart ale can take on the most impressive fleet of ships.

Growler from brewery. Pours hazy amber brown, with a medium beige head, very fine clinging lacing. Aromas of dates, vanilla, caramel, bourbon and grass. Medium body, crisp, smooth. Mildly sweet, a little sour, with a mild bitter finish. Nicely balanced, well-rounded, drinkable brew.

Tap at Odell - hazy copper, faint but sticky lace - aroma is of strong, spicy oak, vanilla, a touch of bourbon, brown sugar, faint fruity tartness - in flavor, much of the original beers is swallowed up from the woodcut barrel, but it still manages to be fairly light - oak, vanilla - moderate tartness - a bit of cherry - a touch of the original malt profile on the back end - finishes a little watery, but otherwise interesting.
