4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20 rivertranced (25) - Denver, Colorado, USA - APR 7, 2012This is a tough beer to rate against a style, so my assessment is purely based on general enjoyment. Poured a beautiful straw color with a huge white head. Great carbonation. Aroma is subtle. Would have expected more honey notes in the nose. Picking up a little floral hop aroma. Alcohol is present both in nose and palate. Palate is sweet, yet very sessionable. Honey shows through here, which isn’t easy to brew. Great mouthfeel....doesn’t linger. Would definitely drink this beer again!

Golden orange with a soapy white head. Grass, orange peel, banana, and peach. A touch of wine and oak, lightly tart, and some sweet bready malt. The flavor is kind of all over the place, too. A light tartness, some sweet bread, citrus, and lots of fruit. Grass, peach, and floral notes. Not bad, but kind of odd. At least it’s better than a lot of the other kitchen sink beers.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20 McNeillR (249) - SCOTLAND - MAY 9, 2013
Hazy honey golden body, starburst dusting of a straw head. Sweet and earthy nose, slight wheat itch. Super sweet, almost barely wine initial taste with a syrupy mouthfeel weirdly lifts as it rolls to the midrange, fluffy and sprite witha a juicy edge. Finish is where it turns love/hate. Fresh heat arrives as you’re enjoying the refreshment. Chilli burn erupts on the fringes gluped in a sweet honey glaze and then every bud on your tounge and fissure on the roof of your mouth is flamed lightly with a linger that lasts two beers down the line. A fantastic but boggling beer.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 swanmann (469) - Norman, Oklahoma, USA - APR 7, 2013
Clear honey, copper color with small off-white head. Aroma of honey, caramel, orange, pine, and damp hay. Tastes like honey with a touch of bitterness and twang. It’s warm and just a little spicy, can detect the oak woodiness. It’s just a little bit syrupy with adequate but fairly soft carbonation. On the sweeter side, definitely, but well tempered. It’s unique for sure. Complex and probably a bit beyond description. It’s sweet, slightly bitter and a little metallic/ astringent. I really like it. It’s unlike any brew I’ve had.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 MadDogMD (213) - Phoenix, Arizona, USA - MAR 2, 2013
Taster at AZ SBF. Medium golden color, average carbonation. Smooth, some light fruits, malt sweetness, slightly bitter finish. Nothing stood out. Good beer, but forgettable.

The beer is golden orange hued and mildly hazy with a quarter inch of head. The aroma brings citrus, toffee, malt, booze. A bit sweet with a touch of honey perhaps. Alcohol presence is there throughout. Medium bodied with appropriate carbonation. Overall, I thought this was ok.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 MikeJslc (469) - Utah, USA - OCT 27, 2012
Gold, slight haze, thin white head. Aroma of pilsner malt, some spicy wheat, a lot of interesting elements from the various special ingredients. A marmalade-like sweetness, maybe some lime, slight chili character, honey evident. Interesting.

An interesting blend, this beer is a solid but doesn’t offer anything to stand out. I am not sure it was worth the 12.99 I paid for it but was complex enough that I gave it a long consideration throughout the bomber.

Bottle at a family tasting. Pours golden with some head. Flavor is very unique and sweet. It almost has a honey flavor to it. You can taste a lot of the different ingredients and it is quite complex. Surprisingly good.

This is a deliciously unique beer. At first I had concerns after reading green chilies and prickly pear as ingredients. You can taste both, and believe it or not, it's delightful.

Tasted on 8/26/12 from a corked and caged 750mL bottle purchased at Sun Devil. Pours very bright orange with a thick, off-white head that slowly recedes to average lace. The nose is pretty unique, with plenty of wheat bread malt, clover honey, a sweet corn note, and just a green combination of hops and hatch green chile. The flavor is more or less the same, quite honeyed, and very complex with all of the same notes from the nose and an added perfume. The body is full with a syrup texture, average carbonation, and a long perfumed, hoppy, and hint of green chile finish. This beer is quite unique, and very nice.
