Courtesy my Secret Santa. Thanks man! Meh...this was a sweet cloying mess. Aroma was huge but a little muddled. Strong honey, vanilla and oak. Pour was a flat cloudy medium gold with no head. Taste was way too sweet and muddled. Honey was the main flavor with the oak and vanilla tanins providing the only other strong flavors. As it warmed, the light fruit (pear and apple) came out but just muddied the waters. There is a slight white wine aftertaste. What really hurt this beer was a lack of carbonation. Being completely flat really hurt. If you look in the ingredients you can see they just threw too much into this beer.

Bottle: Light copper color with plenty of beige head. Nose is sweet, citrus and caramel. Flavor is a bit of a letdown after reading through the label and all of the ingrediants used. Malty, light citrus, and caramel. Just a trace of honey. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a nice enough brew, but it tastes more like a softer version of Mirror Pond than an artful collaboration of regional ingrediants.

Pours amber orange with a white head. The aroma is light citrus zest with some viney hops. The flavors of orange citrus hops with some sweet and tang notes on a medium body.

Sampled at the AZ Strong Beer Fest. Great concept, slightly better than average beer. Aroma of honey, toffee, and dark fruit. Definitely get the prickly pear in the flavor accompanied by caramel, vanilla, and citrus. Wish the chili and oak was more prominent. Medium bodied.

Awkwardly sweet and muddled beer with some fruit and caramel and other flavors that I cant place. Finishes fruity and perfumey sweet. Odd and kinda boozy.

750 ml bottle from BevMo - Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a large off white head that took its sweet ass lime to settle. Aroma is fruit and and light hops. Flavor is lightly sweetened with hints of fruit, honey, and wood. Medium to full body. Alcohol is fairly well hidden. A nice beer.

Poured from a 750ml bottle. I found this to have fruity notes. There is a slight tartness, some grain, lots of tropical fruitiness. Very interesting.

Pours a hazy dark blood orange color with tangerine edges and a 2.5 finger frothy white head that has excellent retention, only slowly fading into a lasting cap. Streaks and chunks of soapy lacing left behind. Complex aroma with earthy and citrus hops, light fruit, pine needle, alcohol, oak barrel and spicy peppers. Toasted oak at first with hop oils and resinous pine notes. Slight chalky pepper presence with light fruit, citrus zest, pepper, damp wood and bready yeast. Medium bodied with dry oak and sticky hop bitterness that lingers throughout. Earthy and resinous pine needle flavor with citrus fruit, pale malts, biscuit, caramel, dry oak and a subtle boozy barrel character. Slight dryness but sweet alcohol and fruit notes balance things out. Pepper presence lingers in the finish but isn’t noticeable otherwise. Decent but doesn’t really stand out other than having a strange combo of flavors.

Tasted on 8/26/12 from a corked and caged 750mL bottle purchased at Sun Devil. Pours very bright orange with a thick, off-white head that slowly recedes to average lace. The nose is pretty unique, with plenty of wheat bread malt, clover honey, a sweet corn note, and just a green combination of hops and hatch green chile. The flavor is more or less the same, quite honeyed, and very complex with all of the same notes from the nose and an added perfume. The body is full with a syrup texture, average carbonation, and a long perfumed, hoppy, and hint of green chile finish. This beer is quite unique, and very nice.
