3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
750mL at RBSG 2011 in Philly. Poured a cloudy pink with not too much head. Nose is cherry pie with phenols/plastic and a decent dose of band-aid and cherry cough drops. Taste felt pretty watery devolving into cardboard. Papery palate. Goes a little cranberry tannic but not a lot of acidity or funk. Feels pretty weak. Not digging this one.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
This brew is a clear reddish-amber color with a medium thin dense light beige head that recedes slowly. Small sticky patches of lacing. Aroma of funky fruit and yeast. Light to medium body with a moderately sour berry and cherry character, with some yeast and malt behind it. The finish is funky with a lingering sour cherry aftertaste. Pretty good all around.

Phenomenal beer that doesn’t get enough love. The fruit component and the heavy sourness are perfect.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
750mL bottle, sent from mista (thanks a lot, Geoff), pours a fairly clear dark amber orange with a small beige head. Aroma brings out lots of sour cherries and raspberries, oak barrels, and wood. Flavour brings out both sour cherries and sour raspberries, oak barrels, and some wild yeast notes. Very tart fruity, with the oak quite prominent. Very well-made - the fruits are a little muted, but they’re well situated. Not overly sour, but very well-made. Great stuff.

750 ml bottle: Pours a clear deep copper amber with a thin-lacing ring of white head. Has a fresh tart cherry nose with some vinous oak and light sweetness. Starts with good effervescence and sweet fruity cherries with a complex tart oak balance. Finishes true to style with lingering tartness.
