This american style barleywine has malt and hop complexity. enjoy the subtle sweetness, toffee, caramel and roasted malt characters intermingled with columbus, indie cascade, chinook and simcoe hops. best enjoyed a little warmer.

Growler from the brewery. Very brown with a thick lasting head. I’m getting the expected burnt carmel aroma of the typical Barley Wine, but also pine and a little mint. Thick and rich with toffee and raison. Well attenuated and not too sweet. Some of the burnt sugar flavors are reminiscent of an Old Ale and hint of caramelization in the kettle. Long bittersweet finish. There’s plenty of hop flavor and bitterness, but maybe a little light for an "American Style." Love it for a beer. Just above average for a Barley Wine. Bet it would age well if they put it in a bottle.
