hopscotch (4588), Vero Beach, Florida, USA Oct 8, 2008 Bottle… Clear golden ale with a mid-sized, creamy, white head. Excellent retention. Big time grapefruit notes rest upon an undercurrent of pine, caramel and toffee. Light to medium-bodied with a mildly creamy mouthfeel and sluggish carbonation. Well-balanced. Citrusy, earthy hop flavors. Lightly tart. Modestly bitter, drying finish. MrChopin (206), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 8, 2008 Thanks to BlackForestCO for the bottle! Pours copper with a short-lived, foamy white head. Nose is full of herbal hop, some grapefruit and slight pine as well. Flavor is consistent here, loads of hop and floral outweighing the slight malts. This is really good beer for straightforward, delicious hop juice. AgentSteve (852), SF Bay Area, California, USA Oct 5, 2008 Bonus beer from Irishboy, pours beautifil golden copper with a cream colored head. Rich nose with pineapple and grassy hops along with some caramel malt. The flavor is grassy hop and a bit fruity. Mellow finish. IrishBoy (2163), Bakersfield, California, USA Sep 30, 2008 12 oz bottle from Supermarket Liquors, Cheyenne, WY; Nose of piney and citrusy hops, caramel, and some guava fruitiness; lightly hazy darker gold with a medium, glass-lacing, off-white head; flavor is lightly bitter pine, caramel with some sweetness, and a light vanilla note; finish light bitterness and vanilla. unusual flavor notes for an IPA! pilsnerrogge (1609), Finspång, Sweden Sep 30, 2008 Updated: Oct 5, 2008Bottled: I could sit here and try to explain the complexities of the aromas and the flavours but it is much easier to put it this way: The hoppines is just insane!!! and I love it!!
