4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 heemer77 (5016) - Urbandale, Iowa, USA - MAR 25, 2008Bottle. Hazy orange and yellow body with a creamy, lightly yellowed head. The aroma is massive citrus, lots of grapefruit. There is also a little bit of raisin toast. Nice, fruity smell overall. The taste has some nicely balanced grapefruit along with a little bit of bread crust and peanut shells. The mouthfeel is fairly thick and creamy with very soft carbonation. Another well balanced and relatively subtle beer from Odell. They are probably my favorite Colorado brewer. This is my style of IPA!

A very, very good IPA. Aroma escapes me thanks to my sinuses tonight. Taste is a great balance of hop bitterness - a mix of citrus and pine resin hops - and malt. I got this six pack thanks to a friend whose son (who is also a beer fan) lives in Denver while she visited him. Thanks Dee!

Been meaning to buy this for years, typical ipa massive hop bomb with pineapple and resinous notes. Loads of orange a bit heavy on the malt (not a fresh bottle) sticky caramel. Good but will not revisit unless cheap (unlikely)

A classic example of a west coast IPA. A good blend of both piney and citrus hop notes. Full bodied, average alcohol. Nice light golden color. It is hard to find a better tasting IPA.

4.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20 scwalchy (2) - IRELAND - MAY 30, 2013 does not count
Pure perfection. Purs a lovely deep amber body with a nicewhite head.
An strong and lovely citrus aroma with hints of sweeter more tropical fruits
Huge hop kick initially that makes way for a perfectly balanced citrus/hoppy flavour.
Maybe the best American IPA around
