Pours crimson brown with a small off white head. Nose is honey, light spice, licorice, plums and grass. The flavor is medium sweet and low bitter. No frills. The mouthfeel is soft and creamy, the body is medium and so is the finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a clear amber with a small off-white head. Aroma is grain, toasted malts, and caramel. Taste is sweet with toasted malts and caramel with some hoppy flavors mixed in.

The beer is copper hued with a half inch of off white head. Teeming with effervescence. The aroma offers malt, grain, a hint of fruit, subtle sweetness and spice. Rather mild scent overall. The flavor is bready and sweet. Odd finish. A bit harsh and getting worse with every drink. Ut oh. Not really what comes to mind when I think of a winter warmer. Bland, unexciting, and forgetful. C’mon man.

Lacking mid pallet. Slight malt and chocolate. Weird finish. Not a huge fan. Tingle on the finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Nice seasonal beer. Overall I like the feel across your pallet and it's not too dark. Football, snow, and wood fire pairs well. Assumed. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Hazy dark amber beer. Tiny off white head. Semi dry and semi crisp palate. Usual Odell fine balance. Light malt - a touch creamy. Mild orange hop. Nice carbonated sting in the tail. It’s decent, well brewed and well balanced. And a shade dull.

Lovely aroma, with elegant citrus, particularly orange, and obvious sweetness suggesting a warm marmelade dessert. The flavors are more mixed, with breadiness and some grassiness in the malts, though the sweetness helps out. Moderate palate. (on tap, Amsterdam Hall, St. Paul)

UPDATED: JAN 16, 2013 A solid winter beer, reddish amber in color. Smells earthy, malty. Well-balanced flavor of sweeter malts and bitter, slightly spicy hops. Nice finish.
