The featured "beer of the month" in an airport restaurant in Denver, shared with my wife while eating burgers. Nicely malty, semi-sweet, with a subtle spiciness (ginger, nutmeg) in the finish. Very nice.

12 oz. bottle from The Royale. Pours a cloudy pale amber color with a small eggshell white head. The aroma is faint, but I can pick out notes of English malts, dust, brown sugar, and overripe citrus. Flavor of English malts, grassy hops, dust, husky grains, wood, and a little bit of citrus. Light-medium bodied, with medium-high carbonation and a dry finish. Not a bad beer to start the night with.

Courtesy of sebletitje. Pours clear copper with solid gold edges and thin off white head. Looks tasty. The aroma is a hodge podge of maltiness coming from crystal malts, mild lightly roasted malts and sweet malts followed by fruity notes. The taste is fruity ester dominated with raisins, prunes and apricots. Beyond midway a bit of roasted malts and crystal malts help bring the taste to closure.

Bottle from Corks, Bristol. Deep amber in colour with a decent, off-white head. Sweet aroma of caramel and red fruit with a touch of leafy hop. Flavour had plenty more bready, sweet malts with a hint of spice and moderately bitter finish. Good.

UPDATED: OCT 18, 2007 2007 bottle. Head is initially small, frothy, off-white, mostly diminishing. Body is dark amber. Aroma is lightly to moderately malty (caramel, cookie, wort), lightly hoppy (grapefruit). Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, watery/syrupy texture, lively carbonation. A bit simple, and kind of raw (has that worty brewhouse smell in the background), but not bad.
