3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
12oz Bottle. The pour was a clear burnt copper with an average (1-2 finger) off white fluffy head that dissipated at a normal pace, down to a thin film with a small collar and had very good sticky lacing.
The aroma was of a toasted biscuit malt, light herbal hops and an earthy yeast with notes of caramel, dark fruit (raisons and plums) and a lightly mild spiciness.
The taste was lightly sweet and malty with a hint of caramel from the onset, becoming slightly bitter sweet and a tad acidic with a touch of dark fruit and a light spicy alcohol tinge at the end. The flavor lasted an average time proceeding the swallow with a slightly bitter spicy taste left lying on the taste buds.
Mouthfeel was just under medium in body with a thin dry texture and a medium carbonation.
Overall this brew was a nice change from a lot of winter beers, possessing good malty backbone, a nice sweet fruitiness and just a smidgen of spice, giving it a really good drinkability...

Tap at Black Sheep Pizza. Amber-ish color and a decent head/lacing combination. Smells a little malty and sweet with just a trace of hops in the aroma. More hops in the flavor but leaves a little bit on the table. Aftertaste not strong. One of the weaker Odell varieties but an OK option if you’re looking for a winter.

Tap. Reddish color, good lacing. Little aroma. Malty and warming. Slight bitter to go with a subtle sweetness. Pretty simple but was great for a cold day.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Pours reddish amber with light khaki head. Nose has citrus, toast and very mild pine. Flavor is rich malt toastiness exceeded by wonderfully bitter and woody hoppiness. Finish is warm, slightly earthy with bitterness lasting in the cheeks. This beer is wonderful in its simplicity - my choice when I am snowed in.

On tap at Old Chicago as part of a mini tour. I like that they avoided spices. Still, it was a bit raw.

Not much in the form of aroma or taste. Has a lager aftertaste. Disappointing.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Dark amber color with an off white head and good lacing. Aroma of floral hops mixed with light fruit and bready malt with a touch of caramel sweetness. Smells very fragrant and nice. Taste follows nose and is well balanced, with hops having a more herbal than floral character and you get some toastiness from the malt. Crisp mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation. Drinkable and pleasant. Had on tap at the Bier Station.

Brown color with a thick persisting light brown head. Great malty taste with a good hop kick towards the end. Great overall taste, I need more of this guy.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle pours a slightly hazy deep amber with a dense, think and lasting pillowy sandy head. Noble hops and slightly toffee malt aroma. Rich malty flavor, some bittering hops but not the west coast american variety. A little metallic touch, but a beer that tastes bigger than it is.
