3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 Crosling (1863) - Loveland, Colorado, USA - OCT 3, 2004
Sampled on tap at the brewery. Poured golden in color with a think long lasting white head that left nice lacing on the side of the glass.
Citrus fruits, caramel and flowers present in the nose.
Very nice flavor. If I drank session beers this would be a good prospect. Sweet malts, caramel, pears and nice bitter bite on the finish.
Remarkably drinkable and solid offering.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 Cornfield (5276) - Oak Forest, Illinois, USA - SEP 14, 2004
UPDATED: SEP 29, 2005 A light honey coloring with a bitter hop aroma, this is more of a golden ale... but that’s not a complaint. Mild, risk-free malt and hop flavorings with a crisp, clean finish. A good drink for meals of any sort.

Bottled. Not a bad beer. Looked like the title. Had a nice hop bite to it. Not special
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Murphy (1759) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - FEB 22, 2004
Starts very sweet, and finish with a dry tasting hoppiness. Not an amazing beer, but certainly a good session beer. Not bad.

Is this a summer version of the cutthroat? If so, that makes sense because its really just the same only lighter. Good drinkable flavor but not one that jumps out and grabs you.
2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 jzzbassman (1362) - New Albany, Mississippi, USA - FEB 11, 2004
A little too light in body. Probably a decent lawn mower beer or thirst quencher, but really nothing to get excited about. Not in the same league as the Cutthroat Porter.

Medium golden color. Small white foamy head. Aroma is slightly fruity, malty and sweet. A light to medium bodied amber. Malts are fruity and sweet. Hops are slightly bitter. Fairly middle-of-the-road amber. Easily drinkable, but it an average tasting amber, with it “not a bad thing” but there is nothing to distinguish it from any other average amber. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.
1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 7/20 crazyvin (1692) - New York, USA - FEB 2, 2004
Light amber in color, no head. Fruity notes in the aroma. Bland malty flavor with almost no hops. Very watery.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 MaiBockAddict (1498) - Good Beer Bar Deprived, New Jersey, USA - JAN 30, 2004
Pours clear orange yellow with a big white head. Aroma is clean and delicately fruity. Flavor is malty with notes of carmel. Some hop flavor and bitterness is there, but the malt dominates. I can see how this can be perceived as a boring brew, but as far as thie beer itself goes, it is well made and the subtle flavors it has are somewhat interesting to me.
