3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle pour. I love the story behind this beer and its name - but comparing this to other sweet/milk stouts (especially a local one from Dangerous Man) and I just can’t get excited about this one.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
12 oz. bottle- Pours black with a thin tan head that reduces to a collar. Aroma is chocolate, lactose, sugar, milk duds. The taste is the same, chocolatey goodness with a mildly dry finish. Body is medium and carbonation is soft. Overall a straight up milk stout, tasty.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Poured from bottle. Creamy black pour with brown head. Chocolate heavy but not over the top. I would eat Cheerios with this beer. So good

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
12 oz bottle courtesy of Denverdiv. Thanks. Poura a dense opaque black color with a medium khaki head that recedes to a film. The aroma featured sweetened cocoa and cashew. The taste was all cocoa; just loads of mocha, chocolates, dark chocolates and perhaps a touch of vanilla. A light bitterness is provided by some nutty hops that suit the chocolates well. The palate was heavy and viscous to the point of almost being chewy and the carbonation was soft. Finishes long and sweet with lingering cocoa. Overall: I’m not normally a fan of overly sweet brews, but I liked this one, it is perhaps the best pure chocolate stout I have ever consumed, very nice and tasty.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle pours deep black with very minimal head/lacing. Rich aromas of roasted malt and sweetness. Taste is dominated by lactose sweetness and cocoa. Although I do love milk stout, this batch went a little overboard with lactose sugar, in my opinion. The malt base and hop bitterness is actually very nicely balanced, but this subtle interplay is masked by the overload of non-fermentable sugars. Solid brew, I'm only let down because I had such high hopes.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Excellent beer. Smooth without being too sweet. Slight boozy aftertaste, but even with that and the chocolate it?s very drinkable. I might be biased since I still love chocolate milk in general, though. Pro tip: go with Nesquick, syrup over powder when possible.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
12oz bottle, courtesy of Aaron. Thanks. Pours a deep, dark brown color with a thin tan head and some lacing. Aroma is roasty, chocolate, toast. Medium to heavy on the palate with soft, creamy carbonation. Flavor is sweet, chocolate, vanilla, roasted malt, maybe some anise, with a sweet, chocolatey finish. A nice sweet stout.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Chocolaty flavor and rich yoo hoo ish character. Toasty malt . I wanted to love this one, couldn’t though. The raw chocolate character was too dominant and singular. Full bodied and viscous.

4.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
This is a very nice beer. More and more breweries seem to be jumping on the milk stout bandwagon and its about time that someone added that chocolate. Has the nice, smooth, velvety mouthfeel you’d expect. Chocolate is rich and by far the most dominant flavor, but its pleasant.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a thick black with a small tan head and not much lacing. Aroma is vanilla and dark chocolate. The flavor is very sweet with milk chocolate and coffee and no alcohol taste. Very good milk stout.
