COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
If you’ve ever been to our brewery, you’ve likely seen the old, beat-up truck that hauls away our spent grain. That truck belongs to Lugene, who’s been feeding his dairy cows the hearty malt for over a decade. Named in his honor, Lugene Chocolate Milk Stout is brewed with milk sugar and milk chocolate. The rich and creamy brew reminds us of a cold glass of chocolate milk and our hometown "Aggie" roots.

UPDATED: NOV 29, 2013 Bottle: deep black, almost oily pour with a khaki foam that settles quickly to a bubbly film. Aroma is full of dark cocoa dust & some sweet milk chocolates. Smells slightly lactose, light residual sweetness with a roasted malt underbody. Taste is more bittersweet, melted chocolate with a decent milky character from start to finish. Slight alcohol warmth but balanced well with the mild lactose & sweetness. Roasted malt & cocoa dust in the finish.

I need to homer this one a little bit. Generously sent along by IBrew2or3. Pours a nice stout brown with a tan head. Nose is big milk chocolate, dark chocolate, some roast, some mystery, and some lactose. Flavor is similar with a huge chocolate presence, some cocoa, some milk chocolate, and some lactose. Really enjoyable chocolate milk stout; one of the gold standards in the category, I would think.

Opaque dark brown beer, little pale tan head. Palate is smooth, slightly airy and a little dry. Mellow dark malt, no roast or bitterness. Slightly tangy. Mellow cocoa chocolate. Touch of ripe fruits before a light and semi dry finish. Not bad but the chocolate tastes cheap.

Dark beer with some mahogany hints when held against the light. Short lived tan head, and I poured it poorly and got literal chunks floating in the glass. This just smells like chocolate. Big chocolaty beer with some lactose sweetness and noticeable alcohol in the finish. The warmer it gets the hotter it gets on the tongue.

Bottle. Black with a small head. Chocolate is present but not overpoweringly so. Alcohol is present but doesn’t take over. An impressive one that is easy to drink.

Draft at Fate CO. Pours black with a thin khaki head. Doesn’t leave any lacing in the glass. Has a milk chocolate smell on the nose. Lots of lactose on the tongue which doesn’t exactly blend with the sweet chocolate. Finish lingers a bit. Solid milk stout but I’ve had better.
