COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
If you’ve ever been to our brewery, you’ve likely seen the old, beat-up truck that hauls away our spent grain. That truck belongs to Lugene, who’s been feeding his dairy cows the hearty malt for over a decade. Named in his honor, Lugene Chocolate Milk Stout is brewed with milk sugar and milk chocolate. The rich and creamy brew reminds us of a cold glass of chocolate milk and our hometown "Aggie" roots.

Bottled (thanks laiti!). Pitch black colour, small brown head. Aroma is banana, some mild toast, roast, liquorice and mild herbal notes. Flavour is banana, some liquorice, esters, fruits and yeast. Mild lactic notes as well. Strangely enough, the bananas, estery notes and yeast got my mind to a sahti... Accidental sahti stout? :)

Opaque dark brown beer, little pale tan head. Palate is smooth, slightly airy and a little dry. Mellow dark malt, no roast or bitterness. Slightly tangy. Mellow cocoa chocolate. Touch of ripe fruits before a light and semi dry finish. Not bad but the chocolate tastes cheap.

Rich dark brown pour, light brown head. Ok folks, this is the one. Chocolate milk for adults. Sweet, chocolate, creamy, more chocolate. Hella good, but only one downside. I couldn’t drink a whole lot.

UPDATED: JAN 30, 2013 starchy, crusty roasted malt with touches of dryer sheet, alcohol, mothballs, milk sugar / breakfast cereal and coconut milk... sheesh... sweet, syrupy, medium-thin body, watery and very artificial tasting. sweet and oily, burnt coconut / vanillin with noticeably hot alcohol. why are Colorado brewers so obsessed with flavored beers right now? ugh.
