3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a dark brown with little head and lacing. Roasted malt and coffee aroma with some light chocolate. Taste starts off somewhat sweet with milk chocolate and then the roasted malt flavors. Has a bit of an astringent component that I don't like. Body is light/medium with a smooth and soft mouthfeel with medium carbonation. Not very complex.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
I have wanted to try this beer for quite some time. I must say I was sucked in by the label. Who could not love a picture of a horse eating chocolate bars.
I expected lots of chocolate, let’s see... Appearance is very dark, very little head. Aroma is milk chocolate, some dark chocolate, cocoa, touch of vanilla. great aroma, Taste is milk chocolate and some mild coffee notes, slight hops on the back end. Very nice. What I had wished the samual smith’s organic chocolate tasted like. Not overpowering, but very chocolaty.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
This is those beers that brings something interesting and different but in the ends the overall product isn’t the best possible. Medium sweetness, some roastyness., sweet short finish.
edit: this is better warm. points upgraded -> 0.1

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Aaaaaand another wish lister. Another winner from Odell. Smooth, and a little lighter than expected for the abv. Slight bitterness in there, but otherwise all about the creamy milk chocolate, smell, taste and body. Don’t see the lower scores on this. Maybe the bottle is different...

Very nice stout from Odell, wish they had more of this variety. I’d love to drink more of this in one setting

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle bought in Beets, Leith, Edinburgh. Very chocolatey - rather intensely so, but not sickly at all, just sweet and gorgeous. I wish it had been a bit more viscous for the full ’milkshake’ experience, but nonetheless a lovely beer, belying the quite high ABV.
