On tap. Comes a clear darker brown with a small biege head. Aroma of malt, citrus, and pine. Taste is roasted malt, grapefruit, pine, caramel, and a touch of chocolate. Very good.

Papago bottle. Pours about like a dark porter with a big, foamy tan head and thick lacing. Huge aroma of green hops, mandarin oranges and sweet malt. A rich, syrupy, hoppy, lightly bittter flavor. Almost some coffee that lingers in the finish. Really tasty and well made. Also, I really like the extra effort they put into their bottles with the raised leaves and unique neck.

4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Pours a dark French roasted coffee color, hoppy nose, palate is like a stout meets a West Coast IPA, caramel/coffee all over the palate, yet a beautiful balance hides the 9.5% ABV, ending with a crisp, hoppy, deep roasted malty finish. This beer is stout meets DIPA. Outstanding!

Bottle. Very dark clear reddish brown. Light brown head, medium lacing. Just like all other odell’s, the aroma does not disappoint. Aroma is moderate to heavy hops - floral, resin, citrus. Taste is moderate to heavy bitter sweet. Long duration. Medium to heavy body. Great beer.

Tap pour at Town Hall Lanes. A questionable glass holding a wonderful, nearly perfect beer. A roasted malty ale leads but coupled by a compliment of hops. Just a great beer that showcases taste, mouthfeel, aftertaste, and perfection. Please go out and order this one!

4.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
The color is a very nice, very clear, and very dark reddish brown with a large light tan head, and the aroma blends resin hops, floral hops, and a hint of caramel malts. The taste is mildly sweet, a touch bitter, and mildly umami, and the palate combines a slightly boozy finish, a medium body, oily texture, and a soft carbonation.

Bottle pour. Black IPA’s are my favorite and this one hold true to the style. It’s hard to believe this brew is 9.5%. It has a good roasted coffee taste with a solid hop aroma. Well-crafted.

Not sure if I have tasted anything like this. Completely unique. Not highly drinkable but just so unique.

Fantastic subalpine forest aroma. Sweet and coating with a bitter linger. Some dark chocolate which is nice, but would like more hops in the flavor profile.

Mmmmmm deep, rich, warm, hoppy. Pours black woth a creamy, long lasting head and strong but well meaning hops approach. Tjimk IPA mixed with milk stout.
