Pours amber with a finger of head that later dissipates and produces some good lacing. Aroma is malty, honeycomb, caramel with undertones of resin, sap, tangerine, pineapple and mango. Taste is initially very sweet and reflects very much so the honey presence of aroma, this later makes way for a gorgeous blend of tropical and citrus fruit with just a smattering of muskiness. Finishes with a slightly dusty citrus peel bitterness that is enough to balance the beer but not enough to not make it quaffable.

Hazy golden with white head. First taste is sweet with bitterness following. Honey on the nose. Quite short and lactic finish. Mildly warming on the mouth.

5/1/2014. 12 oz. bottle. Light amber color with a white head. Fruity and hoppy aromas with flora notes. A bit of alochol burn up front. Caramel and hop flavors with a long dry finish.

Bottle from StarmoreBoss, Sheffield. Light haze on this golden coloured beer. Thin, filmy, white head. Chewy, toffee apple sweetness running through a grapefruit, light bitterness. Boozy warmth, but daft easy to drink for the ABV.

UPDATED: MAY 14, 2014 Pours amber with a sparse white head. Some good lacing. Aroma is candied sweets, grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, pine and a cloak of sweet caramel malt. Very nice. Taste is sweet tropical flavor, grapefruit with a grasping piney presence. More sweet caramel malt. Medium body, a little oily. Bitterness is fairly soft and fleeting. Its enjoyable but a tad generic and a little cloying.

The aroma is sweet malts, sweet fruits, and a tint of ETOH. Resin, mild grapefruit, maybe a bit of pine. Pretty complex, but not really mouthwatering for me. Appearance is murky golden honey, medium to full body, really resinous and bitter taste. Very good!

[Bottle] Pours a dark shade of gold with a small amount of white foam on top. Floral and fruity aroma. Resinous hoppiness in the taste. Sweet caramel and lighter hints of alcohol. Mango and grapefruit round it out. Oily palate. Pretty good. Tasting notes from 11/2011.

Great IPA. Hoppy as heck. Pine cone flavor. Thin head. The malts and hops come together and create an interesting beer. Clean aftertaste. The booze is noticeable but not too overwhelming. Has a kickback vibe to it. Odell has some good brews some work and some don’t. Fortunately this one does. Good summer beer!

Pours hazy orange with creamy beige head. Looks nice. Smell is fruity orange and mango. Taste is orange sweet candy and bitter pine hops. pretty piny in the finish and a bit sweet as it warms. Feels syrupy. Pretty well made and the booze is hidden. A bit piny and sweet for my liking despite the bitterness in the finish. I prefer more citrus and dryness, but this is still good.
