Named for Myrcene, a component of essential oils in the hop flower, Myrcenary Double IPA is our tribute to those who revere the illustrious hop, and their unyielding exploit to craft hop forward beers. Brewed with a blend of hops containing the highest levels of Myrcene, this double IPA prevails with a tropical fruit-like flavor, a pungent floral aroma, and a clean getaway.

Poured up a light amber with thick head that dropped down to just a nice white coating on top. The aroma was mild floral and didnít seem that this brew was going to live up to the IPA hop hit that I was expecting. Well it didnít! The brew was very well balanced and pretty easy to just turn up and drink on down. So yes it is a very good brew and worthy of another purchase, just not so sure it should be considered an IPA.

I was a little disappointed not to be assaulted with a hops explosion out of the bottle, but the pour was nice, amber, hazy, with a gorgeous, soft and off-white head. Very sweet, honey experience with the hops kicking in from behind. The balance is actually nice and I find myself enjoying the taste long after the last quaff. I am enjoying the slightly creamy finish; long and enjoyable, and while it is not a favorite, it is nice. Just a little too sweet for me.

Orange and amber pour. Starts with leafy not overpowering hops and has a honey mellow presence and finishes with lingering bitters. Excellent ipa!

Pours dark straw/light amber with a persistent but thin head. Nose of grapefruit and florals. Light on carbonation, but nice interplay of resinous florals. Finishes thick on the palate with strong alcohol character. Great flavor, but the light carbonation makes this welcome guest just a bit too long on the tongue. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Slightly cloudy golden, white head. Very good smell of sweet and tropical fruits, caramel and malts, clean and well balanced taste, good hoppy finish. Excellent IPA.

Pale amber, slightly hazy with a medium white head. Floral aroma of hops, and a little fruit. Balanced flavor. Not too bitter. Very good.

Aroma - 8/10 - Tons of sweet citrusy hops, candied fruit, light pine. Appearance - 4/5 - Nice orange amber color thatís crystal clear with no real head on it (higher abv). Taste - 8/10 - Follows the aroma with lots of sweet candied fruit, citrusy hops, orange, grapefruit, lemon/lime, mango. Palate - 4/5 - light-medium, alc covered, aftertaste is citrusy hops and sweet malt Overall - 16/20 - Great double IPA, I can see why people like this one. I wouldnít say itís on the same level as beers like Pliny or Palate Wrecker, but good beer none-the-less.

Pours amber with a finger of head that later dissipates and produces some good lacing. Aroma is malty, honeycomb, caramel with undertones of resin, sap, tangerine, pineapple and mango. Taste is initially very sweet and reflects very much so the honey presence of aroma, this later makes way for a gorgeous blend of tropical and citrus fruit with just a smattering of muskiness. Finishes with a slightly dusty citrus peel bitterness that is enough to balance the beer but not enough to not make it quaffable.
