COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Named for Myrcene, a component of essential oils in the hop flower, Myrcenary Double IPA is our tribute to those who revere the illustrious hop, and their unyielding exploit to craft hop forward beers. Brewed with a blend of hops containing the highest levels of Myrcene, this double IPA prevails with a tropical fruit-like flavor, a pungent floral aroma, and a clean getaway.

Bottle via liquor shop in South Dakota. Pours a very nice orange hazy hue with a white head. Aroma is minimal to say the least with only malt and some toffee coming through. Taste is very hot with malt coming through but more like it was meant to be there than it being old. Bottle is only a month old so I canít think the hops dropped off that much. Overall this is a DIPA I felt they are just trying to up the ABV on and forgot to even bother with a double dose of hops.

Bottled at Stockholm Beer Festival. Cloudy pale golden, coarse head. Citris tangerine and lemon aroma. Sweet and full bodied with fairly soft mouthfeel. A bit syrupy, but tagerine-like hops dries it out. Mid bitter finish.

On tap at the brewery. Pours light amber-orange with foamy white head. Nose is tropical fruits and lots of resin. Some floral notes. Big beer for the hot day on which it was consumed.

Draft at Odell. Iíve gotten really particular with my choices in IIPA territory and this isnít really in my wheelhouse. Pours a hazy deep gold with some light copper notes. Persistent white head. Nose is really big and floral, orange blossom and douglas fir come to mind. Some soft maltiness sneaks in as well. The aromatics tend towards the sweet, which isnít my bag. On taste, there is a good level of bitterness, but itís a bit too soft and works towards the floral rather than the aggressive. Not bad, just not my thing. Some jasmine notes come through as well. Good, not great.

Pours a bright hazy orange. Aroma is very tropical fruits. Mango, pineapple, some cat pee, lots of citrus. Taste is very bitter, with lots of tropical fruits and citrus hop flavors. Finishes slightly piny. Very bitter and resiny. Hoppy as all hell. A really good DIPA. Easy to drink and full of flavor.

Sampled this at Minneapolis Beer Fest this fall. A lovely beer with lots of hoppyness. Well done!

Unbelievably cloudy golden yellow (this must be the keg because the bottles where clear) and great white head. Piney hop aroma and flavor that lingers.

12oz. Bottle: Got in trade from phaleslu; THANKS Peter! Aroma of hops, hop-oil, grapefruit, and some light resin. Poured amber/gold in color with a small, off-white head that lasted throughout. Hazy. Sparkling. Very good lacing. Flavor is medium sweet and medium to heavily bitter. Tastes of hops, pine, resin, grapefruit, sugar, hop oil, and some citrus. Medium body. Oily texture. Average carbonation. Hop, pine, resin, hop oil finish is medium sweet and heavily bitter. 9.3%ABV is completely hidden throughout.

Sample at Stockholm Beer and Whiskey Festival 2011. First of all, this bottle is beautiful! Second, the beer in it, is amazing. The aroma is so rich with tropical fruits and citrus, sooo much hops. The flavour is rich and intense with bitterness from the hops, delicately rounded off by the powerful malt backbone. Excellent balance.
