Named for Myrcene, a component of essential oils in the hop flower, Myrcenary Double IPA is our tribute to those who revere the illustrious hop, and their unyielding exploit to craft hop forward beers. Brewed with a blend of hops containing the highest levels of Myrcene, this double IPA prevails with a tropical fruit-like flavor, a pungent floral aroma, and a clean getaway.

This is a great brew! Pine and citrus aroma. Very hoppy taste but still a very crisp, drinkable beer. Might be the best ODell brew.

Bottle… Clear golden ale with a small, creamy, white head. Good retention. The aroma is a swirl of pineapple and passion fruit interwoven with other citrus and tropical fruits. Medium-bodied and a touch chewy with modest carbonation. The flavor is a lightly sweet, moderately bitter, tropical fruit medley. Crisp, fruity, bittersweet finish.

Expected extreme hops due to it being a double, but they hops were just about perfect. Not biting and bitter, and very smooth palate throughout. Taste was hops with a bit of sweetness and some fruity undertones. Pour was amber, very rich in color. Mildly tall head.

12 ounce bottle. Lots of pine and resin. This beer is beautifully clear with a dense white head. Some sweet caramel malts. Easy drinking, but not a interesting hop profile.

Tap - small foamy head, light copper color, very nice big citrus hop aroma and flavor, mild malt backbone, mild alcohol taste

Very nice IIPA. Sweet tropical fruit does not interfere with the hops. Nice, smooth on the palate. Excellent sipper.

Bottle. Golden with a wee white head. Aroma is quite floral, some caramel and sharp fruits, green apple, grapes and grapefruit. Taste has sharp zesty fruit, lime peel, some grapefruit, caramel. Bitter all the way down. Quite different, nice

UPDATED: AUG 15, 2014 Smooth, oily texture with a wonderful hop taste. The hop profile is nice, with grapefruit notes. The hop profile is distinct, tasty while not being overwhelming or lingering which is usually the case. The is an easy sippin DIPA. 9.3 alcohol hardly noticeable. I love this beer!

Pours a bright golden pear with a short lived, slightly off-white cap of loose foam. Not much activity in the body. The nose is stuffed with booze soaked hops, heavy grapefruit, this takes about every direction a hop-forward beer can. Some sweet malts take the stage to keep things interesting. The taste of a perfectly executed IIPA is hard to describe... it’s heavy, it’s approachable, it’s sweet, it’s bitter, it’s fucking delicious is what it is. This beer rocks.
