12oz. Bottle: Got in trade from phaleslu; THANKS Peter! Aroma of hops, hop-oil, grapefruit, and some light resin. Poured amber/gold in color with a small, off-white head that lasted throughout. Hazy. Sparkling. Very good lacing. Flavor is medium sweet and medium to heavily bitter. Tastes of hops, pine, resin, grapefruit, sugar, hop oil, and some citrus. Medium body. Oily texture. Average carbonation. Hop, pine, resin, hop oil finish is medium sweet and heavily bitter. 9.3%ABV is completely hidden throughout.

Sample at Stockholm Beer and Whiskey Festival 2011. First of all, this bottle is beautiful! Second, the beer in it, is amazing. The aroma is so rich with tropical fruits and citrus, sooo much hops. The flavour is rich and intense with bitterness from the hops, delicately rounded off by the powerful malt backbone. Excellent balance.

Bottle:   Darker straw, dull orange hues, moderate to large foamy off-white head, fairly nice lacing.   Fairly assertive citrusy/zesty nose.   Hoppy, and on the candied citrus peel side it would seem, but also a little dank.   Much more pith like on the tongue, mild sweetness, bitterness is muted, with a very dull zestiness.   This one comes across as not very bright or assertive.   The white bits of an orange take center stage with this one, with some additional sweetness on that.   Body and mouthfeel are full to moderate.   Feels hefty enough at least.   Lingering pithy notes.   Yeah, sharp or bright is not how I would describe this.   Dull citrus zest, dull sweetness, dull hops, all while being flavorful and chalked full of that white bits on the inside of oranges/grapefruits.   Not bad, but needs to be sharper/brighter to revisit.

(12oz bottle thanks to Exiled) gold pour with soapy white head. Nose of dank weed, funk, rubbery, orange, mango, guava, quite complex. Taste is dank, funky, orange, oily body, candied citrus. Nice double IPA.

Cask at CASK Pub and Kitchen (Meet the brewer event), London. Copper color. Lovely tropical fruit aroma with mango, apricot and toffee. Smooth bittersweet flavor with lots of mango and apricot, some toffeish malt in the background. Great aroma. A bit higher carbonation would make this even better as low carbonation takes some edge off the flavor.

Bottle. Pours a darker golden yellow with a frothy white head. Aroma is very floral, with tropical fruit notes of passion fruit, mango and pineapple with some grapefruit notes too. The flavor is not as hoppy as the aroma indicates, with grapefruit, some of the tropical fruits, sweeter citrus like orange, and some sweet malty notes. The body is medium with a dry mouthfeel. Overall a pretty solid IPA, but the aroma indicates a much hoppier flavor.

Pint at Falling Rock and sample at the brewery. Pours with a hazed amber body with an off-white head. Aromas of orange, tangerine, caramel and lightly herbal/grassy/pungent hop notes. Flavors are hoppy, citrus, mango, tropical and overripe fruit. Caramel and a bit sweet for my tastes. Bitter overall balance. Medium bubbles, but not quite dry enough for me.

12 oz. Clear amber with a lasting meringue on top. Large schnozz of luscious tropical fruit: pineapple, mango, orange, grapefruit, blended in with some toffee and creamy vanilla. Flavor is a bit dissapoointing after the beautiful aromas, but still a superb offering. Same tropical mix on the front taste, but it’s dashed a bit harshly by the resin and wooden hops on the finish. Medium body is softly carbonated, hop-tingly and definitely dried by the finish. A bit of alcohol shows, but not detrimentally.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy orange with a 1 finger white head. Big citrus hop nose. Med body with lots of dank bitterness throughout. Soft and creamy. Big bitter finish with more hops.
