[Thanks to MatSciGuy]. 12fl. bottle. Yellow/orangish colour with a nice formation of an off-white head. Moderate lacing and perfect lasting. Aroma is fresh, alcoholic and hoppy. Flavour is moderate fruity, pine, orange and citrus are present, resin sensation on palate, slightly bittery at the beginning and a final with a decent bitterness with a moderate duration. Carbonation is medium. Body is medium to high. Texture is oily.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle @ home. I just finished rubbing Tiger Balm into my VERY fucked up right knee, and now my palms are BURNING, and I can smell Tiger Balm everywhere. My eyes are also burning from the amount of tiger Balm vapours coming off my palms. Advantage: Savvy1982. I do love me some hoppy Odells beers, the Myrcenary is just the latest in my recent infatuation. Pours clear honey-gold; thick white head, great lacing. Nose is cedar wood, gentle grapefruit, tropical fruit, pine, mandarin, and mineral. I really love how Odells does their hopping on their I(I)PAs, I really didn;t enjoy their Black IPA, but I’m really digging this. Flavours of Spicy nectarine, new leather, peaches, grapefruit, wooden rasp, like a chunk of fresh cedar, nice sandalwood finish. Very pretty all the way around. A winner!

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle shared by alexsdad06. Poured clear copper color with an average frothy off-white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Moderate to heavy earthy fruit hop aroma. Medium body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy smooth bittersweet hop flavor with a medium to heavy bittersweet finish of moderate to long duration. This is a good beer.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
12oz bottle. Poured medium-deep honeyed golden with a dense white head.. looked great in the glass! The aroma picked up fresh floral and lighter fruit hoppage over pale and bready malts.. some peppery alcohol on the back of the nose.. really clean, and well-balanced. The flavor found warm honey and pale malts at the core, along with a complement of fruit.. fruity, floral, and spicy bitterness around.. light oxidation showed toward the back.. quick peppery finish.. tasty stuff. Medium-bodied and spicy as mentioned on the palate.. OK feel to it.. overall a very good brew.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Strong hoppy nose...pours golden with very small white head. Taste is a tad citrusy...grapefruitish, and a little too floral for my taste. The alcohol content makes it a double, but it doesn't really feel like anything more than a traditional IPA.

2.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
On tap at Falling Rock in Denver. Pours a hazy orange color with a foamy white head. Aroma is of juicy hops, citrus, floral notes, and malt. Taste is big on the juicy hops, with lots of citrus and floral notes. However, the aroma is better than the taste. Big hop burn, with an almost peppery after taste. The body is very thin, almost bordering on soapy. Big hop burn at the end of each sip. More citrus comes through as it warms. I did not care for this, though I beleive I am in the minority. It just did not work for me.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
12 oz bottle into tulip glass. Poured a clear amber color with huge persistent off-white head and excellent Belgian lace. PHENOMENAL aromas: hoppy, hoppy, hoppy, pineapples and mangos, some citrus zest (but not overly grapefruity), bread, herbal tea, honey, flower garden, spring thaw, some ale yeast esters. Rich, caramelly, malt flavors, hints of biscuits and sweet-bread, with an even stronger (but not overwhelming) hops tang. Hops were more prominant in the aroma than bitterness, just the way I love an IPA. Medium body, strong carbonation, complex fruity aftertaste. Exquisitely well-crafted; a near-perfect beer.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
From notes. First reviewed 7/7/2011. Poured from a 12 oz. bottle into a tulip.
Mycenary pours a hazy golden orange color, with a small off-white frothy head.
There is not much malt to speak of in the aroma, but there is a good amount of citrus and mango hops, though. Some lemon rind and grassiness in the hops as well.
The sip starts out with a light sweetness followed by a full hop bill. Grapefruit, mango, and apricot provide the fruit flavor, with some pine and grass present as well. No real lingering bitterness.
Oily hop residue, light creamy carbonation, and actually a little dry for a DIPA, all wrapped up in a medium body.
I found this to be a good, although somewhat typical tropical DIPA.
