Named for Myrcene, a component of essential oils in the hop flower, Myrcenary Double IPA is our tribute to those who revere the illustrious hop, and their unyielding exploit to craft hop forward beers. Brewed with a blend of hops containing the highest levels of Myrcene, this double IPA prevails with a tropical fruit-like flavor, a pungent floral aroma, and a clean getaway.

355ml bottle. Pours orange with a small head. Aroma is mango and banana, a little pine as well. Taste has bread and citrus to start. Strong, piney bitter finish.

Nice hoppy aroma with citrus and some grassiness. Pours a hazy yellow with frothy head. Strong malt and resiny hops. Finish could be a bit cleaner but still satisfying.

Shared by Armando629, thank you! Poured golden yellow, with an off-white lacing head. Caramel, hops, citrus peel, apple and water melon in the fruity aroma. First sweet, then bitter taste. Medium bodied, with a sweet finish. Good!

Bottle at Fin & Loz’s tasting with Jan, Charlotte, Craig, Stella & kids consumed Saturday 22.10.11 Jan brought this beer along, cheers Jan! Another big IPA, not as sweet as the Sierra and not as good as the Jailhouse, but its nice all the same. There is a light tropicalness throughout this but its not as marked as I expected. I now know what Myrcenary stands for. A7 A4 T7 P4 Ov14 3.6

Bottle. Pours a bright lemony yellow, very hazy, with a thick creamy head that retains well and leaves early lace. Aroma is very hoppy, sweet tropical fruit (passionfruit) with vegetal undertones. Flavour is intensely hoppy too, again heaps of tropical fruit with a crushed-nettles green grassiness at the back of the alate that sits there along with the intense bitterness long after the swallow. The malts play second fiddle here, and have more of a golden syrup quality than true caramel. I like the hop character in this one, and the medium sweetness. Hops dominate, but with pleasant flavours and character that lends long drinkability.

Pours a hazy light orange. Bright white foamy head, monster lace. Bright floral, citrus juice hop aroma, with a bit of backing breads. Start bitterness, juicy citrus, floral hop notes on the taste. Crisp body, but slick and oily. Clean getaway, I like it.

A rather enjoyable treat brought home for me by the Mrs. after a business trip. Pours a pissy gold with a fizzy thin white head that fades quickly and laces nicely. The nose and taste are of floral and citric hops with a touch of pale grains and almost no malt flavor at all. This beer is quite good but will bruise your palate with oily hop resin. Just how I like my IIPA’s! Good job wifey. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12 oz. bottle purchased at Ram Liquor while in Fort Collins. Heavy, dank hop aromas coming off a clear medium/dark yellow body with a white head. More of the same in the taste with oily, vegetal bitterness and a little citrus/tropical fruit peeking through. Good malt backdrop to showcase the abundant hop flavor. Leaves behind a leafy, vegetal flavor with long lasting bitter coating the tongue. Not overly done, but definitely a hop-lovers treat.

Courtesy of Balázs, thanks!
