Named for Myrcene, a component of essential oils in the hop flower, Myrcenary Double IPA is our tribute to those who revere the illustrious hop, and their unyielding exploit to craft hop forward beers. Brewed with a blend of hops containing the highest levels of Myrcene, this double IPA prevails with a tropical fruit-like flavor, a pungent floral aroma, and a clean getaway.

12 oz bottle. Clear yellow orange with a white haze. Nose is grapefruit and lemon oil with catty and herbal touches. Resiny medium body with a mild buzz. Taste is pineapple, mango, pine, grass and dough. Finishes clean but bitterness creeps back in.

A great double IPA. Pint at a tap house in Denver. Great hoppy bitterness and bite with good malty balance. Really exceptional.

Aroma is in the face hops, citrus, and pine. Exceedingly pleasant, I immediately want to sip it. Appearance is pale yellow, light carbonation. Taste is an upfront hit of bitterness, but mellows quickly and has a lingering complexity. Overall one of my favorite amongst the IPAs.

Tap: clear yellow gold with a fine bubbly white head. Aromas of musty vegetables, celery, and hops. Quite thin for a 2ipa - extreme bitterness and a touch of sweetness with a prolonged bitter aftertaste.

Pours a medium golden color with nary a head. Aromas of earthy hops, some pine and caramel. Light bodied and somewhat thin for the style, with flavors of earthy hops, pine and caramel malt.

For being bright yellow this is a big beer, pours with no head taste is dense oily grapefruit citrusy lemon peel. Green grassy, very hoppy but pretty well balanced with a lot of malt. A little alcoholic once warmer but very good

Pours clear golden-amber, with a medium off-white head, very fine clinging lacing. Aromas of grass, pine, grapefruit, bread, caramel, and a very light fruity aroma. Medium-full body, medium carbonation, dry. Some initial sweetness, spicy and mildly bitter mid-palate, lasting strong bitter finish. Aggressively bitter, and more complex than their IPA, this is a hit. I hope they brew another batch again soon.

Draft at the Falling Rock Taphouse in Denver, CO. Pours a clear golden orange cor with a two finger soapy white head. Good retention slowly fading into a lasting ring. Glass is coated with rings, chunks and streaks of soapy lacing. Sweet citrus hop aroma with dry, resinous earthy pine notes. Bursting with tropical fruit and citrus. Lots of mango, papaya, grapefruit and orange peel. Pale grainy malt with biscuit and graham cracker. Medium bodied but on the fuller end with a good balance of bitter dry earthy hops up front that are countered by sweet citrus/tropical fruit. Lots of citrus fruit especially orange peel and grapefruit, mango, pinepalle and papaya. Slight alcohol heat toward the finish.
