Named for Myrcene, a component of essential oils in the hop flower, Myrcenary Double IPA is our tribute to those who revere the illustrious hop, and their unyielding exploit to craft hop forward beers. Brewed with a blend of hops containing the highest levels of Myrcene, this double IPA prevails with a tropical fruit-like flavor, a pungent floral aroma, and a clean getaway.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle. Aroma is floral, citrus, and lemon. Flavors are lemon, citrus, floral, and grapefruit. Love this beer, solid double all the way, love that Odell uses floral hops. One of my favorite really acessable doubles.

On tap - dark orange pour with a wall of lacing. Strong aroma and taste of grapefruit and some mango. Has a resinous mouthfeel. Very hoppy.

On tap at prison Hill brewery... Pours a clear orangish copper with a nice white head that dissipates quickly. Aroma of tropical fruits, mango, passionfruit, sweet pale malts, caramel and guava. Taste is caramel malts, sweet pale malts, tropical fruits, guava, mango and passionfruit. Great balance with a nice smooth bitterness on this 9.3 percent double... Great beer.

Amber beer with a foamy head and an aroma of hop and fruit, mango in particular. The mango comes through in the flavour too, with sharp, tart hops to lend a bit of balance. In the finish itís fairly mellow but you could tell even if you didnít know that itís a very strong beer. Dangerously drinkable, though perhaps after more than one the sweetness may become a touch sickly.

Julie says it is not her type of beer. It is very hoppy and taste like licking an old air freshener Julie gives it a 0.1

Pours the color of a DIPA should. Wow, this is so balanced between hops and malt, that the 9.3% ABV is as hidden as Jimmy Hoffa. Overall, a great DIPA, perhaps the best on the market.

Wow, this is what I was looking for. Everything you want in a double IPA. Wonderful hop nose. Terrific balance of hop bitter and malt. This recipe blows away the Odell double IPA I recently rated. This is a great brew!

Lots of pine. Lots and lots. Pine. Light orange amber with a thick lasting foamy off-white head that leaves a thick coating on the glass. Much more balanced than the aroma was indicated. Smooth sweet maltiness compliments the crisp pine bitterness. I wouldn't have guessed more than 7% until a few minutes after when a warmth comes up from the back of the throat. Very nice.
