Named for Myrcene, a component of essential oils in the hop flower, Myrcenary Double IPA is our tribute to those who revere the illustrious hop, and their unyielding exploit to craft hop forward beers. Appearance is cloudy golden with small whit foam cap. Aroma is not as strong as anticipated, but definitely has floral and citrus hop notes. Taste is way more fruity than a typical IIPA, with grapefruit dominating. The acidity and hop bitterness really wake the senses. Mouthfeel is medium. The alcohol on the finish does feel a bit solvent like, and leaves a dry, acidic character on the tongue

Pours an amber color with a white head. Aroma is pine and floral hops with some caramel malts and just a hint of alcohol. Flavor is more on the floral hops side with toasted and caramel malts. Just a slight warming on the finish.

Bottle. Translucent brass color with a big sudsy off-white head that has good retention. The aroma is mild with pine, sweat and some indistinct citrus. Taste is wonderfully complex with pine, mango, sweet melons and passion fruit. The palate is a bit heavy for an IPA with a high level of viscosity. Overall: Decent.

Bottle. Clear gold with thick creamy long lasting white head, visible carbonation. Nice fruity, citrus hoppy aroma. Taste is citrus hops, tropical fruit, some sweet sticky malts, nice long hoppy bitterness in the finish, which has a touch of alcohol warmth. Full bodied, low carbonation. Very good indeed.

Pours cloudy orange with a medium white head. Loads of orange marmalade on the nose. A sweet marmalade flavour too with just the slightest bitter finish. Drinks like a lower abv.

Bottle at home. Pours a clear deep gold with a small white head. Aroma is ripened mango, bready malts, slight grass & funk. Taste is big ripened tropical sweetness, slight citrus, pine, dry bitter finish. Really good beer, more on the sweet side this one.
