12oz bottle, best by April 16, 2013. About 2 months old. Served at around 45F.

Pours semi-hazy amber with a two finger off-white head that leaves rings of bubbly and drippy lacing

Aroma is big time pineapple, mango, tropical fruit, floral hops, some apricot, caramel, hint of pine and orange rind. Good to very good strength.

Flavor is fruity hops, tropical fruit, mango, melon, pineapple, resinous hops, some citrus, apricot, decent bit of caramel malt, mild to moderate sweetness, good bitterness, some alcohol on the finish.

Mouthfeel is medium bodied, oily and a bit sticky, good carbonation.

Excellent Double IPA and a real treat to get to try this. Big thanks to Mark for this one. Every hoppy beer I’ve had from Odell has been excellent...they sure know there way around some hops!

Tap @ Freshcraft. Copper with nice head and lacing. Smells like fresh sugared grapefruit and a little passionfruit. Nice pithy bitter flavor. Long bitter finish. The winner for the night.

Draft sample at the brewery. Deep gold pour. Fluffy white head that sticks around. Aroma is floral, grassy, citrus zest. Taste is sweet, bitter, orange rind. Slight malt balance. Fairly drinkable for a DIPA.

Draught keg from tap takeover at the Three Johns on 24 Aug. Love this high strength, high hopped DIPA. Big flavour, long bitter finish after a sticky alcohol-laden mouthful. One of those beers that benefit from being on keg.

Excellent DIPA. Aroma is very tropical and citrus. I was getting a lot of orange juice as well. Taste is bitter and again tropical and citrusy. Nice sweet malt balance. Very good tasting beer, highly recommended!

Shared 12 oz. bottle poured to snifters, showing a clear, orangey gold color, with a modest layer of soft white foam that left a persistent ring, and waves & spots of lacing. The nose was dank & resinous, with some earthy greenery, citrus & pit fruit. Medium bodied, with average carbonation, the taste contributed some barleywine-like flavor, with decent malt and accompanying sweetness. An amped IPA, with the necessary alcohol to qualify, but just short of Imperial status, imo.

amber color; great, citrusy, piney hop aroma; nice citrusy hop flavor with piney, herbal notes; medium bodied, bready malt base with light caramel notes; at 9.3% abv, it is a fairly easy drinking beer for such a high gravity
