COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Named for Myrcene, a component of essential oils in the hop flower, Myrcenary Double IPA is our tribute to those who revere the illustrious hop, and their unyielding exploit to craft hop forward beers. Brewed with a blend of hops containing the highest levels of Myrcene, this double IPA prevails with a tropical fruit-like flavor, a pungent floral aroma, and a clean getaway.

This beer is delicious. Buying beer out at a bar, which I do too often, continuously reminds me that although my strangely functioning human brain considers a thirteen dollar pitcher a good deal, I should be shelling out ten bucks for a four pack of something like this brew. The aroma is intense, which is a quality I prefer in IPAs. It smells like a Wisconsin pine forrest. Awesome. The beer looks like a good beer should, which is one of these rating qualities I’ve never really understood. Fine. Tastes delicious. Well balanced between the hops and the malts, which is my own personal number one requirement for a decent ipa. Also high alcohol but I can’t taste it. Wonderful. Palate is slightly intense on the carbonation front, but that is a personal quibble that I can let go of I this case. YUM.

Pours hazy orange with creamy beige head. Looks nice. Smell is fruity orange and mango. Taste is orange sweet candy and bitter pine hops. pretty piny in the finish and a bit sweet as it warms. Feels syrupy. Pretty well made and the booze is hidden. A bit piny and sweet for my liking despite the bitterness in the finish. I prefer more citrus and dryness, but this is still good.

Pours clear golden with a large white head. Smells strongly of citrus and pine. Taste is bitter, juicy citrus, and hints of malt sweetness. Full-bodied with a slick texture and soft mouth-carbonation, ODell Myrcenary Double IPA finishes with a lingering bitterness.

Pours clear golden with medium tan head out of bottle. Aroma of pine, hops, and mango. Very well balanced flavor of hops and grain. Not much lingering flavor. Excellent double IPA! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Sampled at the 2014 Untapped festival in Fort Worth. Pours a near clear golden amber with a near white head that lasts throughout the beer. Aroma has resinous pine and sweet grains and not much else. Flavor has sweet grains backed by resinous pine and grass.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein orangegoldenes Bier mit geringer aber schönen Schaumkrone. Geruch sehr malzig herb, fruchtig, tropische Früchte. Geschmack stark malzig bitter, fruchtig herb, minimal würzig.

Bottle 3 weeks old. Pours light golden with a big dense soft white head and great lace. Aroma is tons of super fresh hops, light unripe tropical fruit and quite floral. Flavor is strongly bitter but well rounded by pith and citrus juice sweetness on a light grain backbone. It rides out spicy and resiny. The mouthfeel is just so luxorious if you are a hop head. You can really feel them but it is so alive, soft, and full. The alcohol, totally hidden. Totally in love with this.
