Bottle @ deans. Aroma is big floral fruity hops, loads of citrus. Flavour is quite bitter of hops, loads of citrussy fruits, nice bready malt note. Nice one.

Bottle from McGee. Hazy, gold-orange pour with a vigorous, fine-bubbled white head. Nose is slightly boozy and funky with a hint of malty sweetness. Medium body and intense, fine carbonation. Ethanol bitterness predominates, but some citrus hops and caramel are present. Finish is a bit sweet, which I didn’t expect. Too hot for me, not enough hop aroma.

Bottle poured a magnificent apricot with golden hues, large fluffy white head, and excellent lacing. Aroma of big citrus and floral hops, lemon zest, and honey. Taste is an explosion of caramel malt and citrus with a hint of pepper and bitterness. Enjoyable crisp finish with citrus flavors lingering. Smoothest DIPA I have ever had with ABV completely unnoticeable. Well done.

Surprising combination of malts and hops, even to a seasoned IPA drinker. The palate is the best thing about this beer: nice nip, balanced flavours. There’s a bit of a syrupy after-taste after the beer’s been sitting awhile, perhaps betraying the limitations of a young micro-brew effort, but it’s generally masked by the careful preparation, bottle conditioning, etc.

Cloudy orange pour. Nose of ripe melon, mango, pineapple. Taste tropical fruits medium body. Notice the English malt influence at end of somewhat dry and pleasant bitter finish.

A friend shared a bottle which is good because I would never have purchased this. Cloudy orange color, good head. Aroma of hops and something indeterminate. First taste was just odd, almost made me think it might be infected, metallic, plastic and then a dose of hops. As it warmed up this all went away and I was left with a nice flavor of peaches and malt with a little bit of sugary sweetness. Overall not bad and sort of reminded me of Stone’s 14th Anniversary english double ipa.

25.4 bottle. Pours a hazy golden color with a large 4 inch head that lasts. Taste is of malt, fruit, hops, pine, citrus, some resin and some warming alcohol. Similar aroma. Slightly thinner body that is a bit creamy. The finish is a bit bitter and is of warming alcohol. A bit easier to drink than what I thought it would be. Good, met my expectations, but didn’t wow me. On a side note, as it warms a rubbing alcohol taste comes through.

750ml bottle .. . hazy yellow gold .. impressive foam .. . light pressed leaves and dirty malty bread .. light unpleasing mouthfeel .. . this came out this year and it tastes like last year? oh well .. . . I’m beginning to dislike the man with the whip.

Hazy amber with fluffy white head. Mango, tangerine and pineapple on the nose. Rich sweet citrus and mango, bitter on the tongue, fruity.
