Dark copper red with a creamy white head. Nice big citrus hops aroma and taste with a grassy slightly soapy finish.

355ml bottle. Pours a lovely chestnut/orangey/ember-llke ale, with some bubbles and some head (a little more head and it would be 5 in the ’Appearance’ category). The nose has pine and sweet maltiness. The taste is more pine and sweet malt, so disappointed it looks like a red ale but tastes like an IPA. For the palate, I would like to have experienced more body and although it is initially quite creamy, the refreshing finish starts far too early. Overall, this is a nice beer but why does it need to taste like an IPA.

this is a refreshing red but not my style. way too malty and not nearly enough hos for what the label reveals. roasty, grass, dough, color is a great red amber. very malty and sweet. medium body average carbonation. this beer could impove in my opinion with some more citrus hops, but that is just my taste.

Tap @ Peoria Grill, Denver. Pours hazy amber, no head. Aroma of hops, grapefruit and orangepeel, earthy and caramel malts. Taste is hoppy with grapefruit, caramel and bready malts to balance. Medium body, lively carbonation. Pretty good beer, but doing the 2 weeks i stayed at the hotel ( and had it for my to go beer ) the keg ( wich was on the day before i arrived ) went from very fresh and hoppy to alot more watered down and less hoppy, and more earthy / malty beer. Huge thanks to coryking for sending some of this out to me. I’ve wanted to try this one for quite some time now. Served in a Hill Farmstead wine glass. Pour yields a red-amber brew that is nearly see through with a good white head and loads of spotty lacing on the way down. The nose straight from the bottle after popping the cap screams hops with loads of pine and a bit of citrus. Really inviting. Great start. A bit of light amber malt in the background, but nowhere near balance. The flavor isn’t quite as nice, adding in a bit more malt and just a touch of sweetness. Medium body and really nice bitterness in the finish. Quite a bit of piney hop flavor. Really nice brew overall. Super glad I finally got to try this one. Cheers. Bright red-amber with a huge foamy cream colored head that laces nicely in my glass boot at the wapiti pub. Hoppy aroma of citrus and pine, balanced by caramel and bready malts. Nicely balanced flavor as well. Medium body with moderate carbonation, finishing slightly bitter and dry. Very nice red.

Firkin Fest 2011. Light red color. Not a lot going on. Mild hops in the aroma and flavor with a balance of malt, leading to a dry finish. Simple, but good at what it does.

Clear, dark copper color with a large head. Moderate citrus hop aroma with some light pine. Light biscuit and caramel malt flavor. Orange and piney hop flavor.
