This time of year in the Rockies, one day can span all four seasons. Morning snow gives way to afternoon sun, sending fresh snowmelt into our rivers and into our mash tun. With a complex malt backbone dry hopped for notes of citrus and pine, itís almost as surprising as the season itself.

Nice aroma. Nothing complex in the taste but a solid floral note to the hops addition. Smooth drink and finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Not overly complex but fairly refreshing. Citrus hops and sweet malt. Aroma is fairly muted.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a well retained medium ivory head, with extensive lacing, over a clear, dark amber (SRM 18) body....nose is sweet malts with tones of toffee/caramel, pine, citrus peel from the hops, minimal esters.....taste is sweet malts, with toffee/caramel tones, no esters, pine, light grapefruit peel, ending with moderate bitter bite....mouth feel medium, slightly sticky, alcohol hidden, carbonation adds light tingle and clean light acid. This is slightly unbalanced beer, with hops dominating, that is slightly harsh on the bitter finish. That written, it is an easy drinker, which goes down without difficulty. BJCP 7/3/14/5/6

12 oz. bottle. Shared several with multiple members of brew club. Pours a medium off white head of good duration, with some lacing, over a clear amber (SRM 8) body.....nose is light citrus and pine, with a bit of toffee/caramel......taste is caramel, citrus, bit of pine.....mouth feel is medium, carbonation light. This is a very pleasant beer, flavors are well balanced, and there are no harsh edges. It is somewhat more hopped than a typical Irish Red, but the brewery was aiming for that. BJCP 8/3/15/5/7

12 oz bottle. Aroma is doughy, citrusy, piney, caramel, trademark Odell earthiness, biscuity. Pours almost clear amber with tiny particulates floating around under a two-finger beige head with excellent retention; leaves some groovy lace. Taste starts out sweet and savory before turning lightly bitter. Creamy mouthfeel, medium body. Nice!

12 oz bottle into English pint. Pours a slightly hazy amber with a medium beige head that dissipates in a couple minutes; cobwebby lace is left on the glass. Aroma is very floral and fruity; strong in pine, too. Taste is bittersweet and smoky. Carbonation is medium, body is medium-full. Excellent.

An IPA with a lighter side, the Runoff Red doesnít come on too strong but still packs a flavorful hoppy punch with a mild finish. Very quaffable.

This is a Frankensteinian style of beer: trying to be different it doesnít satisfy any single style. Pours a copper penny red, aroma is west coast hoppy, head and lace dissipate quickly. Malty nose, broad malty palate of caramel malts: crystal and melanoidin. Itís not an IPA, or a red ale, not sure what style Odell was going for on this one, but the finish peters out with no structure.

look: 4 smell: 4 taste: 4 feel: 4 overall: 4 Review from notes: 12oz served in a SN IPA glass A - Reddish copper body, 2 fingers of dense head that takes itís time. Thick lacing left behind. S - Bread/biscuit malts, slightly fruity, English yeast, leafy green hops, pine, fruit bread. T - Citrus hops up front, good malty backbone, some bready caramel, slightly toasted, pine comes through along with a blast of grapefruit citrus bitterness on the finish. M - Creamy carbonation, medium full body, smooth feel. Very well rounded red here. Great execution all around. The malts blend very well with the hops and yeast providing a tasty drink from front to finish. Serving type: bottle 04-23-2013

Pours a clear copper-red, with smallish head. Aroma is floral-citrus, with some malt and grain mixed in. Flavor is very bitter-hops, with something almost like a coppery finish/aftertaste.

Pours an amber-gold, with nice-sized, lasting head. Strong floral and hop aroma--I wasnít really expecting that! Flavor is of a good, strong IPA--nice combination of hop bite and citrus flavors, with quite a bitter finish to it. This one really surprised me--more IPA than amber ale.

Jujube gelatin candy red malt and pine and cedar resin and apple/maraschino cherries and such. is that American malt giving it a goopiness and simple apple-caramel flavor...calcium and plastic and metal flakes and copper penny yeast in a Robitussin sugary sweet alcohol finish. I swear it smells like a makeup purse. I constantly see empty bottles of Runoff Red on the side of the road so I guess some people drink it.

The body on this seems to be loosely fit together, and the maraschino cherry sweetness along with a dominant crystal/munich malt character comes across a big plain jane. hop character is minimal, and whatís there is somewhat oily and resinous, with a peanut and cedar note in the finish. I felt numb the entire time drinking this, couldnít figure out what the point was.

Solidly caramel base with a penny-like finish. Still hop forward with hints of floral and pine on the palate. Great body and lacing that lasted an hour.
