COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This time of year in the Rockies, one day can span all four seasons. Morning snow gives way to afternoon sun, sending fresh snowmelt into our rivers and into our mash tun. With a complex malt backbone dry hopped for notes of citrus and pine, itís almost as surprising as the season itself.

A good red ale. Pours a reddish amber with plenty of clinging lace. Aroma is slightly sweet with malt; overall, itís a little light on aroma. Taste is bitter at fist and then the malt characteristics become more prominent; however, the finish just seems a little thin or something. Overall, really drinkable.

Bottle from Liz. Pours dark copper/amber with a yellow/beige head. Aroma is pine over a roasty malt. Body is maybe medium. Flavor is pine/citrus. Roasty malt backbone. Dusty, red malt sort of thing. Not quite grabbing me, but not bad.

Bottle shared by bhensonb. Pours orange amber with a thick beige head and a roasty citrus aroma. There is a raspy dry red malt flavor with a bitter pine finish.

Tasted on draft at 2015 St. Louis Microfest in a willi becher glass. It poured a crystal clear reddish amber colour with sudsy beige foam. A good example of American IPA: strong malt backbone plus strong grapefruity/resiny hops. Caramelly and juicy. Smooth and creamy. Light-medium body, strong carbonation, lingering bittersweet aftertaste. Very tasty and refreshing.

Light spicy aroma. Pours a but if a clear red with some head that lingers. Taste is surprisingly gentle. Just a bit of of spiciness, lots of maltiness and some hops at the backend. They linger a bit. Pretty thick body and sharp carb

Sweet aroma, beautiful ruby colour with white head. Moreish taste, piney malt and pleasant bitter tang. Refreshing after a long week!

Meh. Color is good, taste a little bland. Not very hoppy for an IPA, the "red" must dillute it a little.

A very hoppy citrusy and sweet aroma come from this slightly hazy soft red brew with beige foam forming around the sides of the glass. The taste is bitter up front with a sweet malty counter then a smooth medium bodied finish and a pleasant bitter aftertaste. A good brew.
