COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A mystic legend echoes in our brewhouse - that of St. Lupulin the archetypal hophead. He devoted endless summers to endless rows of hops, tending to the flowers and the beloved resin within - lupulin. Extraordinary oils in this yellow resin provide this dry-hopped extra pale ale with an undeniably pleasing floral aroma and clean, crisp finish. One sip of this seasonal summer ale and you, too, will believe.

Bottle. A- Juicy, citrus, piney. A- Orange color, slightly hazy liquid, white head. T- Citrus, bitter, piney, resin, clean. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, crisp finish. O- A good APA, in fact, this may be the only APA I have ever enjoyed. Lots of citrus and balanced well to create a smooth and clean pale ale.

A pretty standard APA. Aromas and flavors are a bit on the lighter side and consist of pine, citrus and caramel malt. Medium bodied with a bitter finish.

Lively light orange pour; lightly dank, hop forward aroma with white peach, lilac, and light pine. Centennial concentrate.

Fruity, sticky hop oil flavor with cotton candy, mineral water, and cantaloupe. This is a familiar balance of hop-heavy and sweet, in the vein of other centennial heavy examples. Floral, bittersweet and pillowy finish.

Palate is oily and medium bodied, with crisp carbonation. This fits a mold for me. Itís a flavorful, quality hop-forward beer that coaxes as much thought out of me as any light lager.

Appearance is light golden and clear, with a thick white, frothy head. Aroma is intensely hoppy. Grassy, mango, grapefruit. Taste is light, bready malt with an assertive but not overly strong hop bitterness. Grassy hop stands out, with a soft orange citrus. Mouthfeel is lighntoedium with a moderate carbonation. Finishes with a lingering bitterness and grassy taste

Clear yellow orange in color... Aroma of wet resiny, citrus hops... Flavor is really dry grainy hops, lots of hop residue finish on the palate, like chewing on hops... Kinda rough, little too hoppy for me

Keg @ Friends of Ham. Pours orange with white head. Floral aroma with a vibrant, complex fruity taste bringing in floral, caramel & citrus notes with an assured bitter bite. Refreshing and moreish.

UPDATED: JUL 28, 2014 When it comes to dealing with hops, Odell has some of the most capable minds in the brewing industry. With St. Lupulin, the Fort Collins brewers take hop oils and resins and extract their subtle fruit characteristics. The hazy yellow body of this pale ale is gorgeous. Head is huge and aromatic with grapefruit, pine, grass, and floral notes. Flavor is mild on bitterness but big on juiciness. Grapefruit, apricot, lemon, melon, mango, and pineapple all contribute to a dense, tropical profile. Hoppy oils and resin are palpable in the mouthfeel but the lively carbonation keeps the ale from feeling too heavy or sticky. St. Lupulin is a phenomenal example of American Pale Ale. Even though itís loaded with hops, the balanced flavor makes it approachable to just about anyone.

Bottle from radimd, many thanks my friend. Deep orange golden color with medium white head. Nice floral hoppy aroma. Nice citrusy, piney hoppy taste with some tangerines. Solid malty backbone. Nice summer beer.

Wow. Great floral pale ale. Golden copper pour. Floral and dry hops in nose with grass and orange peel. Sweet start with lots of bright citrus but finishes oily and bitter. A heavier mouthfeel for a pale ale but it works great with this one. Excellent.
