A mystic legend echoes in our brewhouse - that of St. Lupulin the archetypal hophead. He devoted endless summers to endless rows of hops, tending to the flowers and the beloved resin within - lupulin. Extraordinary oils in this yellow resin provide this dry-hopped extra pale ale with an undeniably pleasing floral aroma and clean, crisp finish. One sip of this seasonal summer ale and you, too, will believe.

12oz bottle. Pours a gold color, with a decent head and good lacing. Freaking nuts aroma, so good. Taste is tasty. Palate is perfect. Get some, ’nuff said.

Pours a great, slightly cloudy straw gold with a short white head and lacing. It has a great piney aroma and a flavor that is pine and resin up front with a great bitter backbone and finish over a carbonated body. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Starts with a pretty bland aroma. Smells like hops and grapefruit peel. Pours a slighly cloudy pale golden color. Head is about 1/2 inch and lingers very slightly. Flavor starts crisp, clean and refreshing. This beer would only rate around 3.0 in my book if it weren’t for the finish and linger of this beer. Something quite lovely happens on the back end as floral, citrus, and an oily beeswax type flavor come out. They aren’t overwhelming or powerful at all, but pleasant. Just the aroma of this beer could use some work.

Pours golden with a thin white head and moderate lacing. Fresh, light, fruity sweet aroma. Taste has notes of melon, pineapple, berries and sweet tart candy. Body is medium thin. Finish is pleasant but not very strong. A good but not terribly exciting beer.

Pours a beautiful gold color with two fingers of head. Aroma of light piney hops, faint citrus, sourdough breadiness. Taste is grassy, piney, crisp and just a small amount of bitterness. Creamy mouth feel for a pale ale. Overall a very enjoyable beer, especially on a hot day.

It’s still fresh, with a best before date on the 12 oz. bottle. Familiar with Odell brews, I am very happy to have found this one! Nice blue smoke, it pours clear with moderate carbonation. If poured right, this APA will leave a thick, two finger, creamy head. It smells like an IPA. In fact, it reminds me of excellent IPAs. It has moderate yeast scent, but the citrus, grapefruit and lemon zest is dominate. It also carries a decent amount of pine in the aroma. It smells fresh and refreshing! It has a hop-forward taste, with the citrus crushing the pale malt, bread, medium-to-mild backbone. It is a smooth crisp swallow, and leaves a nice citrus taste all the way through to the back end. For a Pale malt, it has minimal sweetness, but does leave a nice sticky hop resin lacing on the glass. If I were blind tasting it, I’d probably consider it an IPA. It is a great beer and rises above most Pale Ales, rivaling many great IPAs in hops, floral and citrus, and dry finish. It is for sure worth a try and I do believe any hop-head would be plenty satisfied. It approaches being a perfect ale.

6 pack from Distillery Liquors best before August 15, 2014. This is a seriously good pale ale, perhaps the best in the style I have ever had. The pour is crystal clear and golden with a ring of a white head. The aroma is hoppy, but not powerful. It’s hoppy like smelling real hop cones being ground up a few yards away. There’s a wonderful bouquet of citrus and evergreen with mild, bready malts. I want to emphasize the authenticity of the hop character in this beer. The palate is medium-light and perfectly bubbly. Flavors are immaculately clean and refreshing. True, genuine, juicy hop flavors of grapefruits in a forest come out with just the perfect amount of sweetness for balance. Completely immaculate and fresh pale ale. Wonderful.

Pours deep golden yellow. Nice aroma, lots of pine and citrus. Crisp on the palate, lemon citrus with sweet pineapple coming through, hops on the finish. Great summer beer one of my favorites.

Draft - Grapefruit and pine, fresh and sweet. Cloudy gold with a rich white head. Pithy and sweet grapefruit, well balanced bitterness and a light bitter finish. Nice and refreshing.

Not tons of character as a pale ale. Words words words words words. Not too bad though ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
