A mystic legend echoes in our brewhouse - that of St. Lupulin the archetypal hophead. He devoted endless summers to endless rows of hops, tending to the flowers and the beloved resin within - lupulin. Extraordinary oils in this yellow resin provide this dry-hopped extra pale ale with an undeniably pleasing floral aroma and clean, crisp finish. One sip of this seasonal summer ale and you, too, will believe.

Blank copper. Thin white head. Danky hop aroma. Lots of malty beer flavor contradicted by resinous sweet hop bitterness. Does it sound romantic? To you maybe, and I’m sorry for that. Its just a concoction of the 4 Ingredients.

Tan-colored body. Plenty of white foam sticks to my glass after each swirl.

Aroma of floral hops, notes of lemon, freshly malted grain. Tastes a bit soapy initially. Tinge of sweetness in the middle. Dry, floral hops craft a flavor profile that simply doesn't do anything for me. Crisp finish, but the light body and high carb simply aren't my gig.

Golden brew with the smell of some floral but more like a cleaning product than a beer. After getting a sniff I was not expecting much for flavor. Luckily the flavor was much better with a slight lemonaide, floral, and all around basic brew taste. Was no where as good as the price tag would let me believe, more a middle of the beer isle brew. So while I would say overall a big let down it did have the ABV up there where I like to see a brew with the sticker shock and that is why I say average on that catagory.

Bottle. Pours gold-amber with a high, creamy, pillowy head. Nose is floral, lime, and biscuit -- quite nice. Some bitterness on the front of the tongue, then a lemony, malty sweetness on the midpalate rather like a crisp lemon cookie. Finish is smooth and long with a touch of warmth. Restrained and summery.

Pale yellow pour, faint head. Nose is quite a few hops. Bitter. Middle is citrus zest. Finish is nicely bitter, but not overpowering.

Tsekouratos (116) - Nea Filadelfeia, Athens, GREECE - JAN 30, 2014
355 ml botle at The Local Pub, Athens Greece. Poured a yellow-golden color with a nice tan head. Aromas of grass, citrusy fruits, some lemon, maybe some bready caramel. Bitter-hoppy taste of grass, lemon, pineapple, maybe some mango (?). Hoppy aftertaste. Light-medium bodied with medium carbonation. A nice stong pale.

Artisan Golden Ale. Ale aged in oak barrels. Barrel aged & bottle conditioned. Aged in large oak casks and refermented in the bottle. Oro de Calabaza is brewed in the Franco-Belgian tradition of special golden ales. Spicy and peppery with a gentle hop bouquet and the beguiling influence of wild yeast. Please enjoy our beers in good health, Cheers and Mahalo plenty! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

For such a low ABV this beer totally works. Thin head. Hoppy. A pine cone taste. Clean wash down. It doesn’t have that cloying taste. Not bad. Not a go to beer but certainly not one to be turned down at any place or function.
