Commercial Description:
A mystic legend echoes in our brewhouse - that of St. Lupulin the archetypal hophead. He devoted endless summers to endless rows of hops, tending to the flowers and the beloved resin within - lupulin. Extraordinary oils in this yellow resin provide this dry-hopped extra pale ale with an undeniably pleasing floral aroma and clean, crisp finish. One sip of this seasonal summer ale and you, too, will believe.

Pours a hazy pale amber with a fluffy, pitted ecru head that deposits a ladder of patchy lace in its wake. The nose is a big hit of "candied" citric hops over caramel malt. It certainly smells worthy of its name. Light to medium-bodied and fairly quaffable with subdued carbonation and a dry mineral quality in its moderately linger bitter finish. Sweet caramel malt under citric and resinous hops. It drinks like an APA but smells and tastes closer to an IPA. This is a nice beer.

A Mes rate. Bottle at the Rake.
A very good American Pale Ale but it’s just ooooooohhhhhhhhhh so floral I’m not sure I can handle it. Amazingly fresh tasting. Very drinkable indeed. Faint earthy malt in the finish just about manages to hold the flowery hop in check and thank god it does because without it, it would just not be as enjoyable as it is.

Bottle. Pours a golden yellow with a thin, clingy, white head that quickly fades. Taste is of pine, hops, caramel, grass and citrus . Similar aroma. Is slightly oily and a little watery. Very easy to drink and rather enjoyable. I would consider getting this again.

Sample at Falling Rock Tap House in Denver. This beer pours a clear golden color with a medium ivory white head that recedes steadily. Stringy lacing at the top of the glass with spots underneath. Piney aroma with notes of malt and grass. Light and crisp body with flavors of resiny hops, malt and pine. The finish is zesty hops with a lingering pine aftertaste. Decent overall.

12oz bottle sent by alagnak. Clear deeper golden yellow with a small white head. Nice light resinous aromas of pine, grapefruit and mango. Body is a bit flat. Taste is more grassy with a touch of malt rather than all the wonderful fruit aroma on the nose. Has a finish that is a bit metallic with touches of artificial sweetener. Thanks Chris for the bonus.
