Tasted on 3/4/13 from a corked and caged 750mL bottle purchased at Sun Devil. Pours very dark brown with a thick tan head that slowly recedes to average lace, leaving messy lace residue along the inside of the glass. The nose is nice chocolate and caramel malt with a nice sour note underlying. The flavor is more sour than the nose, with plenty of bready caramel and dusty chocolate malt. The body is medium with lively, stinging carbonation, and a long sour and chocolate malt finish.

Pours deep translucent brown with a medium tan head that lasts well. Nose is very complicated. Sour cherries, cream, Stiltson. A bit of sweatsock in a good way. There is a bit of stalish allspice. Flavor is perfectly balanced between sweet and sour. Nice, slightly chalky mouthfeel. Buy this and drink it.

Bottle from a trade with cbkschubert. Pours cloudy brown color with tan head. Aromas of sour cherries and oak. Tart cherry and vinegar flavors with some woody notes. Medium body with average carbonation. A nice oud bruin.

Notes from Dec 2012 - Hazed pecan body with 1.5 fingers of desaturated khaki head. Peninsulas and polka dots of lacing. Nose is sour green and red apples transitioning into sour cherries, smooth mint bursts, pecan pie, coffee cake, soft chocolate, silky oak, and brown sugar all layered together flawlessly. Tartness mingles with sweetness on a medium body with solid carbonation. Very good.

2013-02-02. Brown body with a nice tan head. 4+ Musty lightly funky sour aroma, malt. Quite nice 8+ Flavour is similar nice malt core, lightly funky sourness thoughout, modest fruit accents and light earthy notes. 8+ Smooth average body. Would definitely like to revisit this one. Sample at a local beer store. Great flemish flemings this is quite the representative of the style.

Bruna con abbastanza schiuma mediamente persistente. Aroma acido con caratteri che ricordano frutta secca soprattutto noci. Ingresso in bocca acido con un intermezzo di frutta secca, vaniglia e cioccolato. Il retrogusto e caratterizzato di nuovo dall’acidità pulita da un leggero sentore erbaceo. Buon corpo, di facile beva e con una carbonazione per niente invadente. Un ottima bruna fiamminga. Provatela.

Odell makes some awesome beers but i’ve had a few bad sours from them recently so- .. pours a deep bruise brown .. medium head, medium lacing .. . leather and berry dominate, mild wildness .. . light mouth .. mild finish .. . pretty good brew .. . . i’m not a kid fucker!

Bottle. Cork pops with a lot of force. Pours a cloudy brown color with tan head. Red fruit and some spice to the nose. Good amount of sourness but not overpowering. Tart. Reminds me of a lighter flavored Rodenbach Grand Cru. Very good.

Bottle @ a recent bottle share... Poured reddish brown with an eggy head. Dark fruits with wood, and lactic acid for the most part. Nice drinking sour beer but a little intense and astringent.. Malty sugars with cherries.
