You knw I have to say I really enjoyed this brew. Good density, deep in color and a lasting creamy head. Smells great revealing the hop profile while allowing the malt to come through. A big style that drinks like a meal.

Bottle wi Ben. Nice aroma. Pale aley. You wouldn’t necessarily assume ’imperial’. Flavour is very nice. Grassy, light citrus hops. Well balanced malty flavour with a palateable bitterness. The alcohol isn’t prominent but you know it was there once it’s washed down. Warming. Pretty nice. A IIPA without the bitterness.

Bottle. Pours golden with a white head. Slightly grassy hop aroma, some hay, also come citrus and caramel, slightly musty. Taste has more of the same, well balanced flavors. Quite fizzy, with a moderate bitterness. Pretty good but perhaps verges on the boring
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Sledutah (3239) - Utah, USA - AUG 2, 2012
750ml C&C bottle from discount liquors
Appearance: Pours hazy golden with a medium sized off-white head and some lacing
Aroma: Dusty caramel and pine
Taste: Dusty caramel, grapefruit, piney (green hops) with a dry/sweet finish
It was OK but hard to finish. Sweet and hoppy, not really balanced.
4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 hopdog (7732) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 1, 2012
750ml, caged and corked bottle. Lucky I was watching the cork as I was opening. As soon as I got the cage off, I saw the cork rising up by itself. Sure enough, a very loud pop and the cork goes flying across the room. Thankfully, no gusher. Golden in color with an off white head. Aromas of citrus, floral, pine, grass, some tropical fruitiness. Tastes of citrus, tropical fruits, caramel, and lighter floral hops. Juicy with a sweeter fruit finish.
4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 Leighton (7176) - London, ENGLAND - JUL 30, 2012
Keg at CPK, London. Pours clear, shiney gold with a moderate, creamy off-white head. Massive resinous, ripe citrus nose with grapefruit and tangerine. hugely sweet flavor with lots of jammy citrus, marmalade, orange, tangerine, grapefruit, melon, canteloupe, light pine and pale, bready malts. Medium to full bodied with fine to average carbonation. Good body, though, and not too heavy. Mild warmth to finish, with some slightly earhtier and grassier hops now, along with some very lightly toasted pale malts, ripe citrus, mild alcohol, orange, tangerine, pineapple, some light straw. Super sweet fruit character overall. Nice. It isn’t overly sweet or aggressively bitter. Pretty solid DIPA.

Aroma of citrus, pine, grass. Has a wonderful aroma. Flavor is citrus, plum, pine, grass. Mellow and smooth, but severely enjoyable.

Bottle to a tulip glass. In commemoration of watching the Olympic opening ceremony. Pours a slightly hazy, deep orange color w/ a soapy white head. Nice smells of pink grapefruit, nectarine, some alcohol. Flavors of more citrus, peach, pine. Towards the end, I get almost an orange-creamsicle note. Mostly fruity while maintaining a good, bitter bite. A little over-carbonated would be my only complaint. A nice beer!
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20 beerbastard (510) - Mesa, Arizona, USA - JUL 24, 2012
750 caged. Hazy copper like appearance, with long head retention. Grassy, pine scents mixed with orange blossoms. A well balanced sweet malt and citrus like hop flavor. Tastes of earth and appetizing orange honey preserves. Full body. Nice refreshing change from all the N.W. style DIPA’s. Necter like finish with some burn and a slight bitterness. Overall a little pricey for a beer I would like to enjoy more often.
