On tap at Town Pump. Wow, super fresh aroma of citrus fruits, piney hops and toasty malts. Similar flavor, nicely balanced APA, with a bitter dry finish. Way better than I remember.

Tap sample at the brewery. Clear deep golden/light copper color with a small white head. Piney and earthy hops aroma, clean malt and orange peel. Medium-hi bitterness, juicy hop flavors, light marmalade. Slightly over carbonated, medium body, balanced and quite OK.

On tap at the brewery GABF 2012. Pours a clear golden color with a medium white head. A sweet grainy nose with some floral hops. A bitter flavor throughout with pine and floral hops, big earthy grains. Decent.

On tap at the brewery. Pour is golden orange with a big white head and great lacing. Bread, caramel, earthy hops, weed, and grain on the aroma. Taste is much better than the smell; caramel, light roast, citrus, lemon, and bread ending lightly bitter. Medium mouthfeel with soft carbonation. Meh.

Tap at Odell. Clear blonde golden with a nice aroma of olde world hops, earthy maltiness, and a nice aged yeast. Flavor was much the same, with clean old world hop tones of grassiness, pale blonde malts, and mild bitterness throughout with a touch of dusty yeast.

Summer 2011 - The name and story behind the Town Pump Pail Ale are, unfortunately, a little bit better than the beer itself. While this O’Dell offering makes for a fine session beer, it lacks much of the flavor intensity and creativity that I love O’Dell for embracing. A hazy orange-brown fills the glass and bubbles with carbonation. On the nose I detect mild hops and a touch of malty richness, with an appealing balance. The flavor concurs, offering two simple flavors in a well placed balance. Just enough malt to please the tongue, and just enough hops to sting you and make you come back for more. I could see this being well suited to the pizzas and bluegrass that show up from time to time at the brewery.

Tap @ Odells Taproom. A stop on grand tour of Fort Collins breweries and bars with Tim, Aaron and Armin, Thanks !! Pours golden with a white head. Aroma of malt, caramel, grassy and flowery hops. Taste is malt, toast, caramel, grassy and flowery hops, light tea notes. Medium body, soft carbonation. Very typical in flavor for a english bitter, and decent for what it is. 250212
