Bottle. Pours a hazy orange with an inch of white head. Settles into coarse cap in minutes, with moderate stringy lacing. Aroma is hoppy, citrus, peach, alcohol. Flavor peach up front, sweet fading into a resinous hop finish, mild alcohol, bitter, peach aftertaste. Rather well balanced considering the dominant nature of IPAs and fruit beers. Moderate carbonation, medium body, crisp texture, and smooth, slightly warm finish. Better than I had expected, an enjoyable, fruity india pale ale.

Huge rocky head. Very hazy. Lots of carbonation and full body to remind you that this is a beer that should be sipped. Subtle peach aroma and flavor nicely balanced with hop profile that is mainly citrus. Quite estery. A bit boozier than expected. Overall a good, unique imperial IPA.

3.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pour out of 750 mL bottle, pretty hazy orange pour with fluffy white head, pretty nice looking. Aroma is unfortunately rather dull, however some notes of orange peel, mango, peach, pineapple, some hints of grass, spice, touch of pear, some acidic notes I can only imagine are from the peach, touch of caramel and biscuit in there. Taste is up front a mix of bitter grapefruit, orange, some nondescript pine and grassy notes, touch of biscuit, goes into a middle with sweet peach jam, some nice acidic notes, slight earthy tones but the peach really shines here, before it goes into a slightly bitter, slightly sweet finish. Overall, not bad, but not quite as I expected.

Tap at an event at the Burger Stand in Lawrence. Beautifully glowing sunny yellow color. Thick body that one cannot see through. I’ll put it plainly, this was a delicious beer. Great clean fruity hops, no malt getting in the way, low on bitterness for a DIPA. Not sure if I taste peach or just generally tropical fruit hops but it works great. Was shocked when I saw the high alcohol content, could not tell at all.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
UPDATED: APR 27, 2013 750 ml bottle corked and caged poured into my Duvel tulip. Dark orange and cloudy with a big bright white head that lingers and laces the glass heavily. The aroma is fresh, fruity, sweet and peachy with citrus, light malts and faint perfume. Medium to full body with a thick, goopy texture. Bitter hoppy flavor that is lightly sweet and fruity. The finish is quite boozy and unpleasant. Kind of a disappointment. Also, I would classify this as an imperial/double IPA. (3.2)
Tried this on tap later and thought it was better. (3.6)

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Big aroma of hops and peach. The peach aroma is especially earthy and much like eating a real peach (not like candy). The hop character really compliments the peach aroma. The taste is not as exciting. It starts a bit boozy but with sweet notes of peach and faint hops. Finishes sweet and lingering similar to a wheat brew. The appearance is also very orange and cloud--like a wheat. Interesting brew for sure and worth a try. Doesn’t blow me away though.
