COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The barrel aging process is a labor intensive endeavour where beer is matured in wood barrels. As the beer ages, the wood imparts unique and complex flavors. The Odell Brewers selected new American Oak barrels for their first offering. The 750ml bottles will be hand-corked, and each bottle will be signed and numbered. After the Oak Aged Ale is bottled, the label and recipe will be retired.

This bottled brew from a rating party poured a medium sized head of foamy finely sized tan colored bubbles that were and left behind a no visible carbonation hazy brown colored body and a fair lacing. The mild aroma was brown malt and funky. . The mild flavor contained notes of wood and brown malt. A decent one that I would consider drinking again.

2/23/13. RBWG. Hazy amber pour, soapy khaki head. A bit of spice, caramel, and wood in the aroma and flavor. Touches of oxidation. Nice.

Dark amber. Very dynamic. No lacing. Not sure what to think of this. Interesting, but confusing.

Cloudy amber beer. Big off white head. Light semi dry and semi crisp palate. Sweet vanilla wood. Light touches of toffee and orangey hop. Finishes creamy and dry. Lovely stuff!

Great strong sweet Arome of prunes, raisins and caramel. Flavor is much lighter, fizzy, pale flavor. Mouthfeel is light and mellow.

bottle from jason at rbwg 3/5/11. hazy orange... actually cloudy since i went back for seconds near the end of the bottle. minimal ow head. the flavor and aroma are pack with green wood!... mixed with honey, cooked orange, herbs, flowers, caramel and vanilla. it is really rich but not too sweet. spiciness and green help out tremendously. this is perfectly melded and aging wonderfully.8/4/8/4/17++

Shared by Boltz at RBWG. I have a numerical rating, but my notes are un-readable so I’m borrowing a bit with this one. This one pours a murky crimson/chestnut color with a small eggshell head that left a bit of lacing. Aroma of caramel, vanilla, citrus, oak, and dark fruit. Flavor has notes of wood, vanilla, honey, buttermilk biscuit, plum, raisin, and bourbon. Just a touch of alcohol still noticeable. Holding up nicely!

Murky caramel color/ tan head. Toasted caramel, vanilla, wood, spicy aromas. Big sweet bourbon vanilla, toffee, spicy caramel flavors--good.

Light hazed cherry color with light white head and lace. Aroma of sour malt and light apples. Sweet caramel and brown sugar flavor. A medium/light bodied beer. Very nice.
